I'll just go best case scenario without putting any nametags on. Greg Hardy, for instance, is one guy who's a bit of an uncertainty when you plug him into a 3-4 system.
I'll go for a playmaker at the OLB position (surprise) or a mauling NT. A Tamba Hali or Vince Wilfork type, respectively.
Like PFWT said, you improve the frond end and the back end will follow. That's how the Giants won their Super Bowls, behind a fierce pass rush with some decent players behind them. If a QB is constantly under pressure, feeling the heat, getting hit, not having any time... He'll either get absolutely nowhere or start throwing it towards your safeties and CBs.
