GREEN BAY— While quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo continues his NFL interviewing tour, the Green Bay Packers could lose another of coach Mike McCarthy's longtime assistants.
ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky reported Tuesday morning that Packers inside linebackers coach Winston Moss, who also carries the title of assistant head coach, is a possible candidate for the Tennessee Titans' defensive coordinator job under new coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Moss has been with the Packers since 2006, when McCarthy was hired.The two worked together in New Orleansas well. Moss has never been a defensive coordinator but has interviewed for head-coaching jobs before. He was one of the few defensive coaches McCarthy kept when he cleaned house on that side of the ball after the 2008 season and replaced coordinator Bob Sanders with Dom Capers.
Meanwhile, ESPN.com's Dan Graziano reported that McAdoo, who interviewed for the Cleveland Browns' head-coaching job last week, interviewed for the New York Giants' offensive coordinator job on Monday and was in South Floridato interview for the Miami Dolphins' offensive coordinator job on Tuesday.
Dolphins coach Joe Philbin, a former Packers assistant, had wanted to interview McAdoo in January 2012 after getting the Dolphins job but the interview was blocked by McCarthy.
