Hyde plays a great CB. Instinctive, tough, good at locating the ball and reacting, able to blitz effectively, and, a returner we can count on! He has been a great surprise addition through the last draft, with like impact upon our team as Bakhtiari and Lacy. All three, about as solid as can be for rookies. I'd rather keep Hyde at CB. He's shown very well to this point.

Besides, we've got depth at CB. We need a S who can play.

This year was predicated on Morgan playing to his abilities based on his contract and one of the other guys stepping up. Neither has happened. We got two other prospects right now to work with in Banjo and Richardson. It will be a work in progress and a better luck next year scenario. We have to play with the cards we have right now.

I think part of this reaction has to do with Burnett playing more of a SS role this year (which I think it more of a natural fit for him). Burnett had played mostly SS until Collins went down, and then they moved Burnett to FS, and didn't seem to trust others at FS.

Burnett mistakes at FS seemed to be overlooked at times with the CBs getting more of the blame, while Burnett got credit for trying to clean up the CB mess when really it was both their mess.

Mistakes at SS seem to be very more noticible as he's being asked to attack and make a play more often. And the Eagles RB makes a number of guys look silly every season and maybe even every game. And that play where the Eagles WR got the deep pass off the S/CB... that was just horrible but it's not like things like that haven't almost happened before. I remember Woodson covering someone, he had a great shot at making an INT but Collins is playing the ball and not Woodson and doesn't notice Woodson and Collins goes for the INT and basically they knock the ball away from each other and it bounced away. Now it didn't bounce directly to the WR like the Eagles one did... but the set up was very much alike.

I think Burnett's mistakes are him just trying to overcompensate for the play of others

I don't even think Burnett is having a bad year overall I think he's just had a bad couple of games these last 2. When he first came back this year it was a huge boost to the defense now the last couple weeks things just fell apart all over. If he continues the rest of the season like the last 2 games then I'll say he's got some problems but I'm not giving up on him over a couple games when he looked pretty good in all the others.

I said at the beginning of the season, i hoped this years rookies would not have to play a whole lot, giving them a chance to develope.

That all went out the window starting with game 1 when Burnette reagravated his hammy.

Jennings and House got thrown into playing where they had not praxcticed.

Now this year we have seen Banjo and Hyde play well at times and other times they have looked like what they are....rookies.

When it seemed the db's were getting it together then there went most of the starting lbr's.

This 1st half of the season has been just a little frustrating, because these guys have shown they can play, now it's to the point where everyone of them have to step up, grow up, and start being assignment sure.

Once again The Packers brass are asking players to grow up and play like 3-4 year vets.

All we can do is see what happens this week.

There's no magic fix out there, nobody available that could show up and step into a starting roll.

Ted is sticking with the draft and develope philosophy, let's hope these young guys turn it around real quick.
