New post "G" not lit up?

Been on a couple times today. Neither time were any of the Gs lit up even though there were new posts (by the time stamp anyway).

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Using Chrome today.. with cookies enabled for this site.. it has worked fine.

I think there is a disconnect between the news tab and the forum somehow.. if I stay within the forum the indicator displays properly.. however if I visit the news page.. it dims them all viewed/read.
