Harris' agent Jack Bechta said the 33-year-old veteran had some internal bleeding and the initial diagnosis is that he ruptured his spleen, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"He would most likely miss the season, it would just depend on the severity," Bechta told the newspaper. "But we don't have any definitive information except there was a rupture. Now we have to get him to a specialist as soon as possible."

And while nothing is definitive, Bechta said the odds of Harris returning this year aren't good.

"There's the snap, Rodgers with a quick drop - in trouble! AND SACKED BY ALLEN! The ball is lose, the ball is lose, and recovered by Kevin Williams! And that's the ball game! Childress and the Vikings FINALLY beat the Packers!"

Hmm, interesting contribution. Harris was cramping up and that is from dehydration as well.

I hope Al is okay.

Tramon has done a great job. Al would be a huge loss, but it just means we need to step it up that much more.

I noticed an interesting comment on the original post:

The commenter uses the name ERdoc4Pack, so using my highly tuned deductive reasoning skills, I gather he is a doctor - and a Packer fan.

"This doesnt make any sense. The report is that he had hematuria (or blood in his urine). Well the spleen has nothing to do with the genitourinary system. So he must have a genitourinary (most likely kidney; ureters or bladder) injury as well or the report is erroneous.

If he has a spleen injury, nonoperative management is the norm. The length or inactivity is related to the splenic injury severity. Most data is on kids. One medical paper suggested the grade plus 2 weeks. Considering football is a high impact sport it may be longer by expert standards. Im sure there is not a lot of data on this topic. Splenic injuries are graded on a 1 through 5 scale. 5 being shattered and most likely operative.

Using this medical logic, I would expect him to miss AT LEAST 3 weeks and maybe up to 5-6 perhaps longer (8-10 weeks) depending on national trauma experts opinion. This takes into granted that the blood in his urine report is erroneous and he doesnt have 2 injuries.

Take it for what it's worth, but maybe there's a chance he could return at some point.

I'm still in the belief that if Al Harris was in, we wouldn't have given up that TD late in the game down the side line.

Possibly. Rouse did a great job of not being there to help Tramon.
