2) Rodgers holding for too long.

Not really his choice, nobody was getting open. I think it is time to start investing in some of the $13M that was saved from losing Favre. The Pack need O-line help.

This is important to note. The TV camera-angle that we see doesn't show us the field (and thus, I hate it). In the few cases where it did pan down and show what Rodgers saw, there wasn't much to go to. It's hard to say he held it too long when we can't see the rest of the field. The thing I at least like about Rodgers is that he doesn't seem to force anything in there.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

I think I remember a certain Giants team losing pretty soundly early in the season last year to the Packers, only to end up winning it all. Maybe the Packers can repeat the same feat this year... (crossing fingers, knocking on wood, making out with lucky rabbit foot...)

You learn during practice.
You learn watching film.

There are no good losses.

Rodgers played decent.

I felt he held on to the ball too long and didn't step up in the pocket when needed. Also, I felt like he waited to long to evade the rush. These things will come in time.

The D-line was poor at getting to the QB. this strung out the backs and add a few assignment errors be Rouse and viola! we lose.

I felt like we were just hanging on most of the game. We stopped them by getting a good break rather than just causing third and long situations.

by the way, the thrid and 25 TD to Miles was disgusting. I hope they replay that 20 times today in Film.

the loss hurt, but the o-line needed to step up and didn't our d-line had some very good plays i agree the 3 and 25 horrible but the sacks the recovery from blackmon, rattling romo were positive things o-line got 3 points off interception they were off balance most of the game had they played like they were it may have been a different story tampa here we come with a vengeance

I don't buy into this being a good loss. It's only a good loss if you learn from it, but we didn't really learn anything we didn't already know. The O-line is inconsistent, the D-line needs to step up, the penalties need to be eliminated, and McCarthy abandons the run at the first sign of trouble. I don't see where anything has changed from last year, frankly. That leaves us as a good football team (probably a playoff team due to the lousy division rivals we have) but not a great, championship caliber team.

It's not a good loss, a good loss would be showing you are on the same level as the Cowboys. We're not on the same level right now.

Rodgers wasn't the problem, he was fine.

Run defense, O-line, abandoning the run --- those were the problems.

RP, it's almost like you should be a motivational speaker or something. haha. i didn't know that Rodgers passer rating was over 100 last night. good deal. I think we have a lot to improve on. Good news is i really think we will improve throughout the season. And maybe I'm biased, but even though Dallas is playing great ball, i don't think they can get much better.

That's because it wasn't over 100. It was 80.

Not blaming AR , it's more our OL sucks. Didn't give AR any time the whole game.

I hate the QB rating as a statistic. Because lets say your down and you decide to fling a ball down the field and get picked with 1 second left, you take hit. Plus a lot of Rogers statistics came in garbage time when the Dallas D didn't care about 5-10 yard passes. Anyone that thinks Rogers is on Romo's level (as of right now) is really fooling themselves.

There is lots of time when Rogers had time and he over threw or ran for a 3 yard gain. I don't believe its his fault. Obviously MM has told him not to take any risks. Thats what I believe we will get with Rogers. Conservative. He's not going to lose us the game, which I think is awesome if we have a dominating defence. But with no Harris too, we're not a dominating defence and we need to score points. I personally would have liked Rogers to have been more aggressive when we're down 20-9 or even 27-9. At that point air it out a bit or take a high risk high reward pass. The game managing QB works when your up.

At the end of the day, just IMO, not a good loss. It was at HOME. You should never get dominated like that at home if you think you have a shot at the SB.
