Not much went wrong for the Packers, but Rodgersโ lone interception of the game might have been prevented had tight end Jermichael Finley battled a little harder for the ball. On third-and-goal from the 4-yard line late in the second quarter, Finley had a one-on-one matchup against Raiders safety Mike Mitchell. The play had fade pass written all over it. Sure enough, Rodgers lofted the ball up for Finley, who at 6-foot-5, had 4 inches on Mitchell. But as the two went for the ball, Mitchell came up with it even though Finley had every chance to get his hands on it. The play was initially ruled incomplete because it appeared neither had control of the ball in the end zone as they tumbled out of bounds, but the Raiders challenged the play. Referee Pete Morelli overturned the call on the field and gave the Raiders the interception. Thatโs a play Finley should win every time.
