Rob Demovsky  had some pretty harsh words for Finley this week:

Thumbs down

Not much went wrong for the Packers, but Rodgers’ lone interception of the game might have been prevented had tight end Jermichael Finley battled a little harder for the ball. On third-and-goal from the 4-yard line late in the second quarter, Finley had a one-on-one matchup against Raiders safety Mike Mitchell. The play had fade pass written all over it. Sure enough, Rodgers lofted the ball up for Finley, who at 6-foot-5, had 4 inches on Mitchell. But as the two went for the ball, Mitchell came up with it even though Finley had every chance to get his hands on it. The play was initially ruled incomplete because it appeared neither had control of the ball in the end zone as they tumbled out of bounds, but the Raiders challenged the play. Referee Pete Morelli overturned the call on the field and gave the Raiders the interception. That’s a play Finley should win every time.

Although it admittedly was not a great pass by Rodgers, considering it did hit Finley in the hands, it's hard to argue with Demovsky's point.

So if the ball would have been thrown higher he never could have reached it.

Yes, maybe Finley could have fought for it more, hard to say with how fast it happened and him falling backwards. I still fault (and love) 🇦🇷

Rodgers has had a number of tipped passes lately. I wonder if he is deliberately throwing balls lower or if that is a product of the pressure he's been under.

Damn. Horrible place to put the ball - right in his hands. 🇦🇷 sucks. That video confirms it. Start Flynn next week.

The more I watch that play, the more I ask myself, how the fuck did he not get called for pass interference on that play?

There's no way Greg Jennings plays this coming week. Mike McCarthy didn't play A.J. Hawk and he could go, so no way does Jennings regardless of his injury status.

All I gotta say to Jermichael Finley is,
you got one shot, one opportunity
to seize everything you ever wanted in one game
will you capture it or just let it slip?
