The guys are taking their football seriously. I like that they are not backing down.

Tempers flare on Packers' offensive line.

It's not unusual for teammates to scuffle or have words during a training camp practice.

But two guys on the offensive line getting mad at each other?

That's what happened at Packers practice Tuesday afternoon inside the Don Hutson Center.

Center Nick McDonald and tackle Marshall Newhouse went face-to-face in an argument that required offensive line coach James Campen and a couple players to break up. Afterward, Campen could be seen with his hand on both players' shoulders lecturing them before sending them on their way.

Neither McDonald nor Newhouse would say what precipitated the argument.

"There's no story to write," Newhouse said at his locker. "There's nothing to talk about. It's just football."

McDonald was a little more forthcoming in his comments about the confrontation. He said he wasn't proud of the fact the two went at it verbally, but he insisted it wasn't carrying over into the locker room.

A center and a tackle? Weird. Usually it would be two adjacent players bitching about a missed assignment.

Guys with their future in question.. more than likely in one on one drills.

Either way.. I would rather them lash out on gameday than in practice.. I am still waiting for us to have a offensive lineman just go postal on the opposition and beat someone down, of course within the context of the rules, but just manhandle and break someones will.

Just I would like to see is his nasty side exposed more.. and then have it become infectious across the line. Bulaga has flashes of it.. but we are far from a physical line at the point of attack.

Think finishing blocks mean.. guess one has to clarify the comments out to detail otherwise some take it as a knock.

I don't require obnoxious clarification. I just didn't know that when you said "I am still waiting for us to have a offensive lineman" that I was to infer you already meant Sitton was one of those guys.

It's all good.

Cool.. I really want to see an reincarnation of the 2004 line with Rodgers at the helm and this defense.

We might not lose a game.. that was one physical and dominate line. Too bad our defense, especially secondary, was so spotty and one lame duck pass ended that season.

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : The method for measuring first downs in the NFL will switch from chain gangs to camera-based technology in 2025, the league announced.
