I don't think People will hate on us. We're old school. Our team does things the right way. We don't have brash, trash talking loudmouths on our team or on our coaching staffs. We're "the real America's Team." People love to love us.
Except for Minnesota or Chicago fans. LOL.

I know everybody loves to look back and I will remember every season. Hey, I rewatch many games, but I would be surprised 10 years from now if the 2010 Packers go down as the best of the Rodgers/Mike McCarthy/Ted Thompson era. They were a streaky team, but for what it's worth, I think the very near future Packer team(s) will.

I do not think the 2010 team will be the best team of the MM/TT era. We had a lot of injuries to key players and our D will actually improve in 2011 (as long as we don't have injuries like last year).

Our OL will get better which will make our entire O better. If there was a weakness in our O last year, it was the OL. Imagine how much better Aaron & co could be with better pass protection.

Then there's the wild card of a returner. We didn't have one last year. This year, we may have one.

I think 2011 will be a more dominant year. First things first, we need to win our division.

Phil Simms gushes about Jay Cutler in every interview he talks about him, so it's not surprising he would link the win and Cutler's injury together. I would point out that Dom Caper has Jay Cutler's number. Cutler's TD to INT ratio against Dom Capers in Green Bay is down right awful. In fact, if I'm a Bears fan, that is my No. 1 concern heading into the season. How does Cutler beat Capers?

With that said, I agree with the concept of luck. It does play a role and the Packers did get lucky at times last year. They were also unlucky, especially against Miami and Washington. I would argue that the best team in football did not win the Super Bowl a year ago. I would argue the hottest team won the Super Bowl. In many years, that is usually the case. However, if you win multiple Super Bowls as the Patriots have, you have more than just luck. The same will apply to Green Bay if they do it again.

On an individual play basis like the Urlacher play I see it even more of a joke. How many times you going to count on Rodgers having a brain freeze like that especially when and where it happened on the field. Count their blessings. There's nothing to show it will happen again. For me it was just as lucky for the Bears that Rodgers made a bad decision and a bad throw right then as it was for him to make the ankle tackle so screw them.

The bottom line is we were too short on talent in games like Washington, Miami, and New England when on top of all the IR players gone guys like Jenkins, Mathews, and Rodgers couldn't go either. When it got down to it there at the end we had these guys back and nobody was good enough to beat us from there on out. As far as I'm concerned there were a lot of teams that could count their blessings they caught us way short of really key players. The only way the Steelers stay in that game is because Sheilds and Woodson go out. With that many football players out of the lineup most teams would have taken 7-9 and gone on to live another day. The Packers rewrote the book on not giving up. Some people just can't stand it.

The Packers are in a very good position to be dominant going forward talent wise.. but I hold some concerns on how long we can keep this defensive coaching staff together.

I am from the school that talent alone does not win game.. a coaching staff that can utilize the talent that is afforded them and put them in the best position to win accounts for so much success at this level of the game.

So the question I would pose.. can we keep the coaching staff together for the entire window?

I think we all can agree Ted (and staff, too many times we forget to mention the scouts/personnel dept) does a masterful job of adding talent.. so I believe we will have the talent to be in the mix during Ted's tenure.

That is the next question in the puzzle.. how long does Ted stay in the game?

Last year Clifton played some good football, Colledge has held the LG spot for 5 years now, Wells had a great year, Sitton was great, Tauscher and Bulaga struggled at times.

This year it's not a given that Cliffy will remain healthy and productive, Colledge is probably gone (NOT necessarily addition by subtraction), Wells should be the same guy, Sitton should be the same guy, and Bulaga should be better. I see the uncertainty on the left side as enough that I don't see any significant improvement as a given. Maybe Sherrod and/or Lang will stabilize that side and prove me wrong. I hope so.

I'd also say that OL wasn't the main weakness on O last year. I think TE and RB were both weaker than the OL over most of the season. Thankfully, both of those positions figure to improve significantly this year.
