Hah! You wish.
Kareem would have Shaq for lunch, and while Rodman might shut either Hawkins or Baylor down, Malone wouldn't be able to stop either. Baylor would have matched him physically, and Hawkins would have glided around and soared over him. I'll give you Jordan as able to score on anyone. But he wasn't in the Big O's league -- Robertson once averaged a triple-double over an entire season, the only person to do so. Ever. And West v. Iverson...well, you'd be surprised at just how good West was.

Speed and power are nice. Today's players could out lift, out wrestle, out dunk and out sprint the oldsters. No doubt at all on that.

But you see, the oldsters wouldn't have to play in today's shoot-travel-shoot-travel-shoot, mug-'em-and-chuck-'em game. They'd enforce their will and make today's players play real basketball for sixty minutes.

And they'd destroy them.

I would have to ask who's rules would this be played under? If it was the bs era of today then I would take the guys like James,Wade,Bryant,Howard and Rose. But if it was by the old rules when you actually had to dribble the ball and not just look at a ref and say it was a foul for him to call it I would give it to the old timers.

The stars in todays league are spoiled way to much and it actually made me stop watching it, but I did love seeing the Heat lose lol
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

This roster would compete with any out there.. all Bucks or not.. 3 guard set with Oscar,Sidney and Ray would lite up any scoreboard, not that Pressey and Bridgeman couldn't tickle the twine as well. Sid and Pressey gets the nod as a starter because of their defense... as well as their ability to score.

PG - Oscar Robertson

SG - Sidney Moncrief

SF - Paul Pressey ( The first point Forward)

PF - Terry Cummings

C - Lew Alcindor (AKA Kareem Abdul-Jabbar)

Bench

PG - Alvin Robertson (albeit less than a model citizen off the court.. slimy even)

SG - Ray Allen

SF - Junior Bridgeman

PF/C - Jack Sikma

I am tempted to put Rick Barry on the team just to "watch" him shoot his underhanded FTs. AND MAKE THEM! I get so tired of professionals miss FT's. It is almost as much of a pet peeve as NFL players who don't have a frikin idea of how to tackle or MLB players that can't throw the ball to the proper base or hit the cutoff man.

Pistol Pete would be another guy to add just to watch him play.. dude never seen a shot that he didn't think he could make.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
