My appologies, it was more directed more generally. I probably should have put that in a separate post.

And with the minimum of 200 carries Grant was tied for #10. With a minimum of 145 he was tied for #15.

My wild guess would be Grant would be some where between top 8 and 12 best. But like I've said because I think Grant can be two different guys depending on weather he has a chip on his shoulder or not, and I think he's talked about it some with wanting to bring in Ahman Green to push him the year we brought him in.

And Grant should have a chip on his shoulder this year, coming back from an injury, going into a contract year, having Starks taking his role, which he made an impact with it, they drafted Green and some fans are talking about not resigning him. I'm not sure but that could be the biggest chip he's had since he's break out as starter with the Packers. Hopefully he runs with it and does great.

Grant did have 73 catches in 2.5 years.

That is an average of 2.5 receptions per game and he averaged 4.8 yards per catch, which is below average. Jackson caught 51 in 09. That is more than twice as much as Grant that year. He averaged over six yards per catch, which is actually a down year for him. Last year, he caught 46 for an average of over eight per catch.

Grant is a very solid two-down RB. There is nothing wrong with that. However, he is not versatile whereas Jackson is.

Grant is solid between the tackles. He leaves a lot of yards of the field, but he gets the job done. But they're never gonna run a ton of screens to him. Now Alex Green on the other hand...

That is why it is hard for a team to be a super bowl contender with a top running back. They tend to take away from the Passing game which has been shown to actually improve your odds of winning the better it is ranked. Unlike the running game.

The most important stats to have are passer rating differential and turnover differential. If you are higher ranked in those categories, you are much more likely to win. As close as it gets to a guarantee in the NFL. Rush Yardage differential can be negative and you still have close to the same odds to win.

This is what I said awhile back - that elite RBs actually hurt your team because they demand the ball more and take attempts from the passing game. The NFL has become a passing league, like it or not.

Look at your elite QBs and look at your elite RBs. Elite RBs are on teams ranging from very good to very bad whereas elite QBs are more often than not in the Playoffs.
