I was worried after the hit, but Aaron Rodgers didn't sound like someone with a concussion or look like someone with a concussion following the game (seemed lucid and was sure jumping around out there celebrating).

I actually thought of the same thing after I read about him being 'fine' after the Peppers hit, and thinking how he suddenly sucked after that.

The hit occurred around the 11 mark of 4th q...

They had only 2 possessions after the hit

He tossed 5 passes after it

he completed 2 of them..one was a lazer dart toss on a slant..

Quarless had one go thru his hands on a 3rd down play on another slant

Quarless also dropped one that he had in his hands

So he should have went 4 of 5 after the hit??

He rushed his last pass and it hit the feet of I think Kuhn

That was the only pass I think he looked off at

But he was off after the hit??????????

If any hit played a roll in Aaron Rodger's throwing, I'm going to say it was the hit he got in the right side while rolling out to the left scoring the games first touchdown.

I'm with Kev, I thought he looked puny after the touchdown. Report on the shoulder would make sense.

I'm a cynic. The only way anyone will call it a concussion before Feb 7th would be if Rodgers had been knocked unconscious or had been unable to get off the field without assistance. Or if between now and then he wakes up vomiting or whatever.

They're not going to risk one of the biggest feel-good stories of the season, and a dozen great story/marketing lines, by risking having to bench him because of their new "extra testing and neurologist approval" rules.

Because while 2 weeks often is the time it takes to approve a concussion return, this would be #3 in one year. There's a good bet that no neurologist is going to approve any return before next season in that case. And everyone in the NFL knows it.

My problem with this whole thing is the unnecessary hit. That was a calculated helmet to helmet shot; and this league needs to start ejecting & suspending these dirty bastards when they do this, even if they wear a G on their helmet.

Rodgers was stationery when the hit occurred, and that would not be a very difficult judgement call, when they head ref would go under the hood to look at it.

My other problem with the hit is the reaction of the Bears coaches, which means they fvcking teach hits like that. Marinelli's character is forever ruined in my opinion.

Rodgers has earned his Brady, Manning, Favre skirt now. The league needs to protect him from here on out.

I agree with this. Also, early in the next possession he was taken down by peppers and his head seemed to hit the leg of Lang. The next three plays were incompletions with on pass sailing over Kuhn's head. I think that hit affected him too.

I'm with Dakota on the suspension issue. (Rock will point out that this means I'm also agreeing with Collinsworth. Oh well.)

It will be really interesting to see what kind of fine Peppers gets.

I didn't call you Collinsworth. I only said that you, and I, are agreeing with him. Which makes me want to punch myself out. 🙂
