I find the two to be very biased against the Packers.

Three pages about the announcers and the other threads focusing primarily on the Packers don't surpass one page?

Maybe I should pay more attention to the announcers instead of the team I'm a fan of.

Sarcasm noted, but seriously, it's fun to talk about announcers. They are such a big part of the experience of watching games. I've thought about starting an announcer's thread after each game, but I'm not sure if it would be well-received, so I only do it occasionally.

In what way do you guys think Aikman is biased against the Packers? He has said that he thinks Mike McCarthy is very underrated as a coach, he loves Aaron Rodgers and Charles Woodson, and he generally seems pretty complimentary of our players. In general, Aikman is pretty critical when he calls a game, as he will point out mistakes and second guess some coaching decisions, but I haven't noticed him doing this any more with the Packers than any other team.

I actually think that Aikman is more critical of the Cowboys than other teams, and if I went to a Cowboys board after he calls one of their games, I would fully expect to hear a lot of fans accusing him of being overly critical of their team. I think he is either overcompensating so he does not appear to be favoring them or he just knows them too well so he knows all of their flaws.

Interesting I thought aikman was overly critical of the pack also but maybe his style is just this way on the teams he is at.

I know a lot of people don't like Joe Buck, for whatever reason, but he is VERY good at what he does. Aikmen is a decent analyst as well.

I don't really much care who's announcing the game as long as we keep playing longer than the other 31 teams, they can have freaking fat albert and mr t doing the broadcast.

Whining about the announcers just seems petty to me. Then again, I whine about our QB's form, so ... we all have some petty issues.

Step up to the plate and announce games yourself. I can provide the server and the feed and the software for you to do this. No, I'm not saying you can't critique them because you can't do better, but I'd like for you to show us how its done better. 🙂

I will firmly agree, announcers could collectively do better and in fact I think it would be a great job to have. tromadz and I used to do it and it was a lot of fun. I'd gather notes on both teams, player rosters so I knew the number/name of players, etc ... it was a lot of fun. Then this little feature gameday chat came in and well I'm sure people would rather watch the game, lol.
