We wouldn't talk so much about the effing announcers if they weren't so effing bad and always screwing with our football-watching experience.

I will firmly agree, announcers could collectively do better and in fact I think it would be a great job to have. tromadz and I used to do it and it was a lot of fun. I'd gather notes on both teams, player rosters so I knew the number/name of players, etc ... it was a lot of fun. Then this little feature gameday chat came in and well I'm sure people would rather watch the game, lol.

I wish I could find old audio of Ray Scott or pre-Madden Summerall. Or maybe Vin Scully, though he did baseball. I'll see what I can find. These guys show what announcing can do when it is disciplined.
