Win or Lose tonight I'd like to say that even tho we had some hard times this year MM pulled off a great year baring with all the injuries to his starters.

Adjusting each game depending on the roster he had available and the team we we're facing.

He pulled a great great year thus far and hoping this run continues as long as it can go.

* MM is an excellent QB teacher (Rodgers / Flynn)

I look at it as more of a positive on the Dom Capers side of things. He is the one that has had to deal with more injuries. The offense has obviously had a couple big ones, but if I'm handing out the most credit, it goes where it is due. On defense.

I'll give him props though. I've enjoyed his playcalling for the most part. Best job since '07.

True about Capers. I just hope Capers doesn't get the funny idea that he needs to be a HC again.

I think McCarthy has coached well this year, all things considered, but I'm not with you on the "win or lose tonight" part. A loss to the Bears in a game that is meaningless for the Bears and means everything for the Packers would be easily the worst loss of Mike McCarthy's career, and it would put this whole season in a different light and maybe even lead to some justified speculation about McCarthy's job security. The Packers need to take care of business today. Period. And I think they will do that.

It's tough for me to give McCarthy props when we've lost almost every close game this year. Let's see what he does today, in our most important game of the season.

Completely agree about Capers though. He's been our MVP so far.

After seeing the red zone play calling again, no props. Bad.

Updating after the TD. That was a good call. Audible?

Now that right there is showing how much you hate McCarthy. You don't give credit to McCarthy for the play action call after bashing him for (in your opinion) bad calling on the previous drive.

Anyway, IMO, it wasn't bad play calling on Mike when he called the fake QB sneak. That would have definitely worked if Rodgers had thrown / tossed a better ball to Jackson. I liked the idea, and it was completely unexpected for the defense.

We won. Congrats to MM and the Pack for getting to the post season, especially after all of the injuries.

So can at least the next 12-24 hours be POSITIVE?

agreed. we see the execution of a play and directly correlate it with the logic of the play call. I thought the fake QB sneak was a great idea...Rodgers just couldn't throw a ball 10 yards.

The Packers won a close one and an important one. It wasn't pretty, but proof that we don't lose EVERY close game.

I'm not one to like agreeing with Johnson - frankly I think anyone who says something to the effect of 'my opinions don't need evidence to back them up' is not worth paying much attention to - but he has a good point.

Granted Rodgers execution may have made the play look bad... but McCarthy had two other down to get a TD and he did not.

Frankly, I've heard McCarthy talk for a couple of weeks now of not getting too predictable with Kuhn in short-yardage situations.

He needs to take action, because his usage of Kuhn is becoming predictable. And he may be relying too much on Kuhn in terms of rushing near the goal-line. Yes Kuhn gives great effort and has a 'won't be stopped' mentality.... but you cannot expect him to be your goal-line saviour.

McCarthy needs to be on top of his game going into the playoffs.
