aadp...how much more creative can you get at the 1? You want the Packers to sweep with Kuhn? You want them to put Jackson in to muscle out a yard? How much creativity do you see in teams opting to run from the 1?

They put in Kuhn on that first run which later set up the play action TD to Lee. I've never seen that QB sneak before...how was that predictable?

Oh, I did not mean that the QB fake was predictable, it was not.

But frankly you've got Starks activated, and the dude has been praised for leaning forward when falling to get some extra yards.

You've got Quinn Johnson who I'm not the biggest fan of - but was playing decent tonight and if anything is built for short-yardage situations.

There are other option that McCarthy, I hope, realizes might be suitable other than Kuhn. Or at least other options than Kuhn rushing for a TD / first-down.

I am a fan of McCarthy, but this time of the season he has to be on top of the game. I think it says a lot today after the game in the locker room that players pushed him into the middle of the huddle to break the team down along with Pickett.

But now he has to give action to his words of not being too predictable with Kuhn. Kuhn is a huge weapon, but not if everyone knows what is coming.

I can see that. To be completely honest, I'm not a big fan of Kuhn. He somehow finds a way to sneak out an extra yard (Pats game) though often in a "how the hell did he do that, it won't happen again" sort of way...and does give 100% effort, but I often cringe when I think he may be handed the ball.

Hats off to McCarthy for holding this team together considering all the injuries and getting us into the playoffs with our backs against the wall, but in my opinion this wasn't his best day calling plays.
The QB sneak on second down was a terrible call, not just terrible it was absurd.

So you predicted Aaron would throw a bad ball? Or that perhaps Aaron would sell the QB sneak too hard?

Damn, dude. You could make a fortunate being a psychic.

Forgive my bias here since I said asked a week or two ago why we never see a QB fake a sneak and dump it off, ... the play was not stupid, the execution was. If that's a good throw, err lateral, it's most likely a touchdown.

The fake QB sneak was a neat idea. I've never seen that before. But as Troy Aikman pointed out, it looked like Rodgers sold it too much, then made a bad pitch. The play was too slow to develop.

And I'm not going to complain about a handoff to Kuhn on the one yard line. Didn't they say he was something like 9 of 10 when needing to pick up one yard for a first down this season?

I think the stat line was 9 times out of 10 Kuhn has gotten first down when it was 3rd and 1.
