McCarthy seems to handle himself well all the time. I don't recall seeing him get too HIGH or too LOW ever.

Yeah, that was something that really jumped out at me, and a lot of other people as well, in his very first press conference after he was hired. Very solid, very focused, very confident.

It's sad that some as good as McGinn would fall into the trap of thinking Packers are exclusively zone.

Perhaps he just chose his words very poorly, which is unlike him.

I personally LOLed at the exercise question. "Do you eat well..." yeah could he really not think of a better Q?

I liked McCarthy's responses. The only thing I was a bit worried about was that McCarthy seemed to hint with all the short days between games on our schedule this season, we may not have hit the ground running as well as McCarthy wanted.

Either way, we are where we are, and it's up to Mike McCarthy to get us to a level where he feels confident we can win.

For a non-jerky alternative to McGinn's interview, check out this interview by Rob Demovsky in the Green Bay Press-Gazette:

Compared to McGinn's article, Demovsky's article is outstanding.

One part I really found interesting was McCarthy basically admitting Colledge is the 2nd string C entering the game against the Vikes. Interesting, talk about versatility.

I also loved McCarthy's final answer, basically saying I'm going to stay true to myself and focus on what I have always believed in focusing on: fundamentals. Reading his last response made me really comfortable, there isn't anyone else I'd rather have coaching a team coming off a surprising 13-3 season than MM.

PS - I got a kick out of McCarthy's "I believe in Aaron Rodgers" remark. God, I'm becoming so obsessed with Batman lately. Anyways, someone needs to make a "I believe in Aaron Rodgers" banner/chest pin like the "I believe in Harvey Dent" ones in Batman.

Nice catch on the Colledge thing, AADP. I had somehow missed that the first time I read it.

Demovsky got a lot more out of McCarthy than McGinn did. McGinn was trying too hard to be the hard-hitting journalist, as if he prided himself on asking questions that were impossible to answer.
