i'm adopted & so is my brother - my parents never conceived their 'own' child. poof - now you know someone. and i'm surprised at you, nsd - that is pure & utter bs that a woman 'relaxes' so then is able to conceive. or maybe you're just tryin to piss me off - naahh - that couldn't possibly be it.

He said he didn't THINK he's seen it fail before. You don't have to believe him, but at least have some research to counter his 'BS argument'. How exactly do YOU know if stress is not connected to a woman's ability to conceive?

seriously? i tried to have my kids for 10 years, dude. i've had more people see my vajayjay than most hookers. i've had several surgeries, umpteen tests, & finally had invitro to have my twins. i had a physical problem so no amount of 'relaxing, try not to think about it too much, if you forget about it, it'll just magically happen' wasn't gonna work for me. and doesn't work for the vast majority of women with fertility problems. good gawd man - that 'relax' deal was the same crap my mom heard 50 freakin years ago. get some new material.

i don't have to do research, formo - i lived it. along with the other women i met along the way. and don't ever tell me what to do again. i will seriously pull out the whip. 😃

FYI, just because you didn't conceive due to whatever, doesn't mean it's impossible for other women to conceive for those same reasons.

But the same could be stated of NSD argument.. he didn't qualify how many families he has seen this happen to. It could be one for all we know.. but he framed it as an absolute.

So how come, in this case, 4Pack has to provide evidence for her side of the argument but NSD can hang whatever he pulls out of his ass without a single fact or qualification there within?

I am starting to think there is some long distance threesome developing around here. 😉

FYI formo...no shit. anything's possible. i didn't say it was IMpossible. i simply stated that it's a common thing people have said for well over 50 years to people like me & it does little but make people like me feel like total shit.

there's clearly a twosome here shawn & i am NOT involved.

he framed it as an absolute.

No, I framed it as a doctor's joke that I've heard on the lips of multiple physicians.

I also said I personally haven't seen it fail -- that all the women I've known who adopted later conceived.

Of course there's no such thing as a foolproof cure for anything.

And do I really need to provide links to studies that show that stress and anxiety inhibit a woman's ability to conceive? That fact is one of the reasons why conception during rape is so rare -- after traumatic experiences, it's not uncommon for women to become sterile for some time.

That ended with "I think" and "Almost every family I know"... took the context out of the reference to a joke and move it to first hand observation of a medical student. 😉
