I have to ask my fellow Packer fans this question: which quarterback would you rather see this weekend -- Favre or Jackson.

Unless there's an injury problem with Favre affecting his throwing ability (e.g., the shoulder), I'd still rather face Jackson.

Frankly, with Minnesota's OL and underachieving defense, I don't think either one can beat the Packers unless the Packers turn out really flat. But I think the Vikings have a bit more of a chance to monkeywrenching the "shoulds" if Favre is their QB.

And if I were a Viking fan, I'd have another reason for wanting Favre as the QB. Whoever is QB this year is going to have to deal with Chilly's incompetence. Might as well have opposing teams beat the crap out of a guy who is going to retire at the end of the year anyway rather than out of a potential "quarterback of the future."

Wade - I want to beat my opponent at 100% of his game, not 50% of his game.

Let's consider something. Let's say I run into Andre Agassi in my retirement home. We're in our 90s. I beat him at tennis because he has 2 fake knees and his shoulder was surgically repaired. Does that make me cool? Not really.

Now let's say this. I run into Andre Agassi tomorrow. I beat him in tennis tomorrow. Does that make me cool? Hell yes.

Right now, I'd take a lot more pride beating the NE Patriots than I would the Buffalo Bills.

I'm just glad he's not OUR QB right now.
Yes, he was good last year.
But as good as he was last year, he's horrible this season.
Thus, being as he's with the Vikings, i hope they let him play the rest of the year.

This is the thing. One of my brothers is a Cows fan. As much as you guys hate the Vikings, I hate the Cows worse. (He's a Cows fan because we moved around a lot and my folks currently living in Texas).

Anyways, we beat an injured Cows team, I txt him and he'll say "well, we were injured. If we weren't so injured, we'd beat you guys."

That's yet another reason I don't want my opponent to have an excuse.

Favre - like 4PackGirl said, I want that last bit of revenge, just like he wanted his in '09. He got two, I want two. With more interceptions. And I want to watch him limp off the field looking dejected, knowing that the Packers just made sure his last year will end in failure.

True.......he took great pleasure in beating the Packers twice last year.
Would be nice to repay the favor.

The Vikings are in our way of home field advantage. We have to beat them. I'm seeing this more as taking care of business than personal.

I want to see this season as 13-3 with us having home field advantage and going on to win the SB. Anyone in our way gets beaten. Nothing personal. Just taking care of business.

I agree, Zombie.
With the Bears winning, we need to at LEAST keep pace with them.....hopefully to pass them up BEFORE we meet them in GB.
Whoever is in our way needs to be DESTROYED!!!

Exactly. I'm sick of this nice guy stuff. In the tie breaking procedures, I forgot what order they go in but there's record first, then head-to-head, then I think it's conference record. Not sure the 3rd one though. But I know point differential is in there. That may be 5th or 6th but it's in there.

Yeah, I don't want to hear any of this "Well, we need to win 4 or 5 of our next 7". No, we need to play the football we know we can play for the rest of the year and finish 13-3. When the offense and defense are clicking and special teams is at least not giving up huge plays, there's not a team in the league that can stop us.
