There was a lot of noise about the Packers (and other teams) skipping the preseason. Some will say oh but no one played in preseason in 2020. Exactly, no one did and no one was at an advantage or disadvantage. This year teams like the Saints played a lot and the Packers played little to none. You can see evidence of the issues on the field. Example, when you see players right next to one another waving hands frantically, that's a sign folks aren't on the same page.
I'm not saying Saints won the game because they played in the preseason. No. I am saying there was clear evidence that having one team play and one team not play showed up. Saints were winning this game regardless because the Packers appeared to think they had to just roll their helmets on the field and voila, W.
I think the preseason should only be two games and players should get some on-field time together in a game situation. OR abolish preseason altogether.
