I'm not suggesting anything but lately I've been surfing around different forums and most of the vibe I get is if the Packers don't go far Ted Thompson will get the axe.

So Ahman69 thinks Ted will\should get fired if the packers dont get a superbowl and we're supposed to take this seriously. Right now?

We're 3-1.

4-1 in four days. But lets talk about firing our GM,coach, etc. Jeez, some people dont even wait for the offseason anymore. Why do they even bother playing the games?

I just don't know anymore. I'm probably biased based on the events of the past week, so I'll try to be as objective as I can.

I've watched this team for my entire life. I remember the good times, and I especially remember the bad. Under Thompson, a good young core of players has been put into place that should ensure success for seasons to come. McCarthy's definitely shown that he can create an offense that can seemingly score at will.

For the past few years, this team has been talked up about how it's primed to win a superbowl. But you know what - I just don't think either McCarthy nor Thompson has that killer instinct to get this team there. Take this week for instance - instead of going in for the kill to get Lynch, Thompson yet again gets outbid for a player. On the McCarthy side, when's the last time we saw this team really put someone away?

Champions go in for the kill. Champions step on the opposition's throat. And while I can't exactly fault Thompson for not getting Lynch or whomever and the same goes for McCarthy, it's damned frustrating. It seems as though there's a sense of complacency on parts of the roster - no rush to improve this part or that. It pains me as a fan to see Rodgers and Woodson, among others, waste seemingly another season.

Lack of a killer instinct. A tricky concept, but I haven't seen it from either Thompson or McCarthy. I've seen flashes - examples being Thompson trading up for Matthews and McCarthy calling that fake punt in the playoff game...but just that - only flashes.

I'm rambling. And this post came off biased, I'm sure.

I wait the entire off season, but never ends up happening.

I rate Ted on what he built. Not what the team does. He build a SB favorite, that doesn't change because of injury. Players that can be brought in midseason are not going to make or break the team in most cases.

McCarthy, I wanted him out before this year, and that hasn't changed.

Ted Thompson, I agree, built a SB favorite starting lineup, but I think he has made some poor choices on some of his draft picks and not spent some $ to add quality DEPTH (NOT STARTERS) to this team.

Not disagreeing, but I can't think of any slam duck move that would have helped. at least not prior to injuries or something. there is lots of speculation on player X or Y. I think building from the draft is the right way and I have always liked our youth(depth) at the time.

Agreed. However adding one or two future hall of famers, like Reggie and Woodson, to balance the team out is not a bad idea either. Let this whole thing play out before calling for Ted Thompson job...

The Packers are 3-1, and Thompson and McCarthy are safe this year unless the team completely falls apart and it's not because of a plague of injuries.

Put it this way. I'm sure glad NOW that Ted Thompson didn't trade Hawk. Can you Imagine starting Bishop and Simpkins for the next 6-8 weeks?
At least this way, if we need to we can trade for some LB help. Hell, maybe Starks will do what Ryan Grant did in 07. Remember, we can resign Quinn Porter after a certain number of weeks too.

Yes, he developed Rodgers, but, at the same time, Rodgers could be more successful, with all those receivers, in another system. McCarthy is the NFC's answer to Norv Turner. He has more than enough tools at his disposal, yet, year after year, can not figure out how to them properly.

MM is a stellar QB guru. Beyond that, he's got plenty to prove. I was on the verge of writing him off last year. We'll see what happens this year.

beast (4h) : Yeah, but also some of the wording suggestions Jax only pranked called the QB, not the others... and if he had an open spreadsheet & 3 calls
beast (4h) : Thank goodness he's not leaving the Turtle in the Red Tide
Mucky Tundra (4h) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (5h) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (5h) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
Zero2Cool (5h) : Simmons put up an emoji with cheese.
beast (5h) : Not sure anyone is interested in Isaiah Simmons... Collin Oliver might of taken his potential slot
beast (5h) : I'm going with Jax Ulbrich is not telling the whole truth... he accidentally came across it? Why would a defensive coordinator have a QB #?
Zero2Cool (6h) : He's not that great, but final piece of the script.\
Zero2Cool (6h) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (6h) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (6h) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (6h) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (7h) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
Zero2Cool (7h) : Shough is the guy who missed guys at combine isn't he?
beast (8h) : It's not official until I'm dead! I have a chance still! (Not really)
Mucky Tundra (17h) : I could feel my body decomposing in real time when I read that

Martha Careful (26-Apr) : Bum Phillips used to say there are two ways to get better. Get better players or get players to play better. We have a new DL coach
Zero2Cool (26-Apr) : Yes. Look at the losses last year. They can win.
beast (26-Apr) : Can Packers win with their current DL?
bboystyle (26-Apr) : waiting for a pass rusher.

dfosterf (25-Apr) : 5 minutes in the 4
dfosterf (25-Apr) : 7 minutes between picks in the 2nd round
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : Sorry to bitch, but the headline writers in that section absolutely mislead, or don't know how to read. It is maddening
Martha Careful (25-Apr) : No thanks. Not a dependable guy to be in the right place and run the right route. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : Losing 2nd round pick for a one year rental, not ideal. Especially a headcase.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Apr) : Pickens for Jaire may be interesting. Definitely not sure we want Pickens long term.
dfosterf (25-Apr) : No.Absolutely not
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : NO NO NO NO NO NO!!1 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
dhazer (25-Apr) : scenario: Our main prospects are off the board when our pick comes around, do we just throw a 2nd round pick at Pittsburgh for Pickens
