TT was the only GM at the USC pro day today. That is very interesting, considering there are a few prospects that the Packers should be interested in (Charles Brown, Everson Griffon [sp?], and Taylor Mays). I feel like I'm leaving a person off of that list, but maybe not.

Perhaps I'm thinking Joe McKnight....I don't know.

I still think it's interesting that Ted Thompson was the only GM there.

People are reading into it because he was seen on NFL network talking to Clay Mathews last year.

Like you said, Charles Brown, Everson Griffen and Taylor Mays are all prospects that would fill both a need and would be good value at 23. That McKnight is playing there, as well, makes it even more attractive.

Ted's a very hands-on guy when it comes to scouting and the draft. I would be more surprised if he wasn't there.

I am GUESSING that he missed Texas' pro day, which is also a "biggie".

They were occurring on the same day.

I am also GUESSING that Mike McCarthy was at the Texas pro day, only because he attended Dez Bryant's workout the previous day, which was also in Texas, coupled with the nature of the prospects there.

Using yesterday as an example, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, USC and Texas all had a pro day.

My GUESS is that most of the honchos were at the Texas pro day in lieu of the USC one.

Yeah, McCarthy was at Texas pro day. I was reading somewhere comments he made about being impressed with McCoy.

He does his due diligence that's for sure. Always has. Whether it pays off is another story but nobody prepares and does as much research as Ted Thompson and the scouts on the Green Bay Packers.
