I will only say one thing on the topic and take it for what it is worth.

Every man, at some point in there life will need to lean upon another shoulder or bend another's ear if for nothing else but to let it out. If another asks or is willing to listen by offer, how is that imposing? I learned nearly 25 years ago, never be too proud not to talk or reach out.

I didn't ask because I was nosy or whatever.. it was reaching out to a friend.

+1 Shawn.
I know i "bitch" about things too much. In my old age, i'm just getting frustrated. Alot of what's going on i CAN'T change. So i feel my hands are tied.
Kevin, you and this site have been here for me. Had i not told about my heart surgery, i would have lost out on the outpouring of love that i got from you and the rest of the people here.
As was said, sometimes we ALL need a shoulder to lean on. I think that is why we are here. Yes, it's nice just to talk football, but LIFE is what's real. It's what is going on around us.
Me, i've been really down in the dumps the last few months. Getting hit with one thing after another it seems. No time to catch my breath.
I come here hoping for a few laughs, or some insight.

The fact that being a screen name to you all and not a human being bothers me and it shouldn't. It's wrong and unfair of me to feel that way. I wanted a small community when I created this site for a reason and yet so many think I go around promoting the site, advertising it on other boards and do things for the sole purpose of attracting MORE members. And then that kind of comment brings out those who say I need reassurance or others to kiss my ass which I don't want. So what do I do or say?

You are doing something good providing a community for football fans. You will never make all of them happy, so first concentrate on you & yours.

Don't give me that, no one gives a damn about the the HUMAN behind the screen name, what's going on in their life, what their going through, what their mindset is while posting, or even trying to understand their point.

Not to sound like a dick but how are we supposed to know? I don't go around with a "guide to Kevin's life." There's no "updates on Kevin's life" feature of this website (is there?). I don't know how much work you put into this site all I hear is you bitch about it.

Nobody here dislikes you in fact I think it's quite the opposite. We all appreciate what you do but you don't really give anyone the opportunity to help you. From what I understand you like having totalitarian control of this site--which is fine--but you have to know that a lot of the stress you encounter is either self-inflicted or a matter of your personal life. I'm not trying to offend you either.

The fact of the matter is that this is the internet. I feel that certain personality traits of people are accentuated using this medium for communication while other traits become less dominant because we are not interacting in physical space. Anonymity becomes a tool for certain people--they enjoy being able to hide behind their online alias and often take bigger risks with their statements and opinions.

But what you have succeeded in doing in this website is bring people together. I may only know a few members real names on this website but there is a certain connection that I feel with those members that I don't get on other sites. It's because of the community that you've fostered here. I also believe that most of the regulars here have a great amount of respect for each other even though they have differing opinions. I've been a complete dickhole to Cheesey in a lot of the evolution threads but outside of that I completely enjoy his online presence (and I respect his opinions).

Other members have come asking for advice or hope in times of need--this doesn't happen online often unless there is a specific dynamic that allows all of a sites members to feel comfortable.

Zero...Kevin. You should feel proud of what you've accomplished with this website.

I don't know what Zero is going through, but I'm sure he and I could find some common ground in misery this year. What I do know is that this site is chock full of some outstanding human beings who really care about each other. I know you all helped me tremendously back in July and August when my daughter's life hung in the balance. I'm very fortunate to have all of you for buds, even Formo, as misguided a sports fan as he is.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
