Gaps over the middle are the area to be exploited in zone (cover-2) D. That's been evident all TC, when reporters constantly stated that Rodgers attacked this D right in the middle of the field. Warner's an experienced player, so I'm sure that factored into it.
But our problem was we couldn't do anything on D. Couldn't stop the run early, couldn't tackle properly, and we were having problems with DBs/LBs losing players releasing from trips (bunch) formation. That isn't scheme, that's a downright communication problem.
Why we played THIS poorly.... I don't know. But I really want to read what Capers has to say... his view will be intriguing to say the least.
