I just saw that reported comment from the neighbor on CBS, RP. That jumped off the screen. There was an interview with one of the women who found him in the street who claimed that the fiancee was there when the police arrived and that she told police he jumped out of the truck himself, but I have yet to see that confirmed anywhere in a police statement.

Yikes. The end of the article was downright scary.

Also notice the picture on the right. What a good looking family. Not that that matters. I'm just noticing it.

Sad turn of events. I feel bad for the whole lot of them, including the neighbor.

Zero, where in any of that do they say how he changed? Was he doing charitable work in the community? All I see are the same few comments saying he was changed but giving no evidence of it. Showing up for practice on time because you're about to lose your job is not quite the same as getting your life straight because you realize you can't continue on a self-destructive path.

It probably wasn't even his fault. A guy with his kind of behavior. Threatening to kill himself who exhibits that type of self destructive behavior(when he was younger) when he has the world at his fingertips. All the potential in the world, all the money anyone could ever ask for with more to come. It's obvious he had serious mental illness.

It really surprises me how some can lack tact so much on an issue like this. Degrade this and that when they don't even know. This whole 'hey look at me, i can say something unpleasant about a dead fella' bit is childish.

I'm not saying anything good or bad about the man. I didn't know him. I have just been to enough funerals to know even scumbags are eulogized in death, so the words spoken by his grieving teammates and relatives are meaningless. We can't make a true judgment of his character one way or the other.
