He's RIGHT THERE with Cushing and maybe Orakpo, needs to keep it up. The fact that the Texans get no air time, Clay plays on the #1 Defense in the NFL, we're going to be a playoff team, and Packers hype vs Texans may give Clay the nod, his name won't hurt him either. I slowly see the Thompson doubters disappearing too, we could have the DROY AND DPOY both by his doing. This Draft class looks like an all-timer right now with Raji, Clay, Brad Jones, Lang, Wynn, and Underwood all playing very well and making important contributions right now, add in Quinn Johnson and and this could be our best Draft class ever. Rodgers should see his first Pro Bowl, Grant, Finley, Kuhn, Bishop(ST) and Jennings have a chance to make their first Pro Bowls, Collins should see his 2nd, the stars are starting to align for Thompson.

Our 1st round in the 2009 draft was just awesome... Both of those guys made IMPACT plays last night, and they're rookies.

I think he has a very strong chance because we are the #1 defense, he is also plays well on national television and his name may also help get him the award.

I love his heart and effort.. and damn is that kid strong.. standing up Gaither is no small task and he did it consistently.. setting him up for the speed moves.. Gaither's head was spinning trying to diagnosis where Clay was going next.

Matthews was well coached up to this point.. probably speaks alot to his fathers involvement in his career. Fundamentally sound, combined with physical abilities and his heart.. damn fine player.

Jones isn't as stout at the point of attack.. but damn does that kid have some explosion to him... closes in a heartbeat.

We wouldn't have been able to get Matthews if we didn't have a certain extra third round pick.

I still say in terms of draft slot.. we paid too much to move into that slot...

Matthews is playing on another level right now dude is exciting to see, and to think he can only get better is just crazy as hell...On another note anybody got a pic of Woodson flying through the defense to tackle McGahee? The view from the behind that they showed on TV i want that as my wallpaper

A wise man once said, "if you want a player, really want a player, you go and GET that player". That wise person happens to be the man whom Ted was an understudy to. Only if Ted followed that credo more often.

1st-26 5th-162

I'd have liked to have received a 4th or 5th as well, but I'm down with it because it appears we have a solid player on our roster for years to come.
