Not to mention he is not even close to breaking as many tackles as he did in '07. It's odd to say the least. It's not like he was overworked at all and he's still young.

He doesn't seem like that type of player to me at least. He also didn't get paid premium back money.

Yeah I agree. He really can't do but the same as Grant. If Green is given some carries see what he does, and if he is getting the same yards as Grant then keep him in because of how he hits people on every run.

Another HUGE plus for me from Green is sheer passion. I loved watching him play. He showed a lot of emotion, hustle, and desire to both play and win. Honestly, when's the last time we saw that out of a back?

Let me first start this by saying ... this is coming from being frustrated with Ryan Grant.

Now that is out of the way.

I wouldn't object to seeing Ahman Green taking more carries from Ryan in future games. Does he have that break away speed? I don't think so. He can catch. He can block. And one thing I really like about him. He HITS people hard instead of just falling down.

I tried to stick up for Grant. After watching him pitter patter his feet and creep into a hole. I'm through.

Finally ... we can bitch about grant together now ;)

and ya I agree. Ill take jackson or green (actually liked the few plays he did) over grant. And I got to say ... if I see another play up the middle with grant - I am going to fire Mike McCarthy myself. errrr

Sadly, it seems we haven't seen that since the playoff game in '07 against the Seahawks.

Green's gotta be stoked. From unemployed to playing with the team you had great success with. That alone would make me want to run through a brick wall.

My God you are the killer of all things interesting. What's interesting in this case is that there might be more than one or two reasons (or explanations) for Grant's lack of success since '07.

Only you don't seem interested in ANY of them. What a black and white world you live in. Must be because Grant was playing for a contract then and not now.

Ugh. Where's the -1 button?

It could be because I disagree with your line of reasoning. Nah. It's probably because ever since you got a pay raise you haven't put as much into your posts. Just not seeing enough effort from you.

P.S. The whole Grant contract thing is a classic case of a logical fallicy (post hoc ergo propter hoc, to be exact). Because Grant has had a dip in production AFTER the payday, his lack of production is because of the contract. All I'm saying Ironman is gimme a break, you know there's more too it than that. Only it seems since last night you much prefer the easy answer. Don't look into, don't ask questions, don't speculate as to what other conditions have facilitated a drop in production -- no. Disregard ANY and ALL of that. He's just not trying hard 'cuz he got paid. Good bloody grief.

I liked what I saw from Ahman and well, he made me put my foot in my mouth because he is playing with heart.

As for the Grant situation...there is more than just him when it comes to his poor production. For starters, we were playing the Vikings yesterday and you really aren't going to get much production out of him.
Also, Adrian Peterson can't even run behind this offensive line and ZBS crap.

I don't think highly of Grant, but I am also not high on the offensive line.

Yay for Ahman!

Grant has nearly a 5 yard per carry average against the Vikings.
