The Penalties, The Lack of Ability to pick up the blitz. Even Aaron's problem of not getting the ball out is a result of poor coaching.

The Defense. Capers has impressed me with his ability to coach this team off the field. He obviously knows how to teach the 3-4. But his play calling has not been impressing me much.

But there has always been a problem with penalties. Well ever since Mike McCarthy. The Johnny Jolly penalty could have very well lost us that game. All the momentum was going our way at that point then he commits a penalty because he could not swallow his pride and walk off the field without getting in someones face who bumped into him. That's ridiculous. We should have seen Mccarthy tearing him a new asshole. Except i didn't see it. It cost us 4 points in the game. I remember Brady Poppinga had a very similar penalty last year against the Titans. I know im going into the vault there but still, its a penalty ill personally never forget.

That penalty by Jolly was ridiculous. Coming off of a huge stop, that cost us a TD. I agree...huge momentum swing, but I doubt it cost us the game.

We all are searching for consistency.. well MM and company has the penalty thing nailed.. we continue to cook our own goose weekly.

3rd and 17 and we only rush 3? Result: 19 yard gain. Next play, 51 yard td pass.

Capers = Fail.

I think the Browns actually have claim to this title. Losing back to back games by 20+ points...yeah, I'd put them up before I put the Packers as worse coached team. Let's be a little realistic here.

Are they bad? Oh, hell yeah. Same mistakes over and over. But they're not Browns bad.

That said, I think McCarthy should go.

I thought that was stupid. Blitz and if he has to throw it quick, it's a good chance it's going to be less than 17 yard gain.

Dumb call by Capers, I think. Shit, even Aikman was laughing at us.

Both McCarthy and Capers seem to be dyslexic. McCarthy uses the 2nd half game plan in the 1st half. And Capers blitzes in the opposite situations.

Kampman's 3rd down sack the week before was on a 3 man pass rush. How is that different? Oh, right, we were playing the Browns so NOTHING from that game matters or translates over!

You guys can't have your cake and eat it too.

It's to the point where following a loss the bitching on here is so self-righteous and incessant -- so full of know it alls -- that I'm thinking a vacation from this place is in order.

I have rarely in my life seen such negativity about one's team -- and I'd have to look to the lowly Vikings fans for a reference point.

It really is making me angry. I MEAN ANGRY! Lemme clue you into something, fellas: YOU AREN'T A DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR! Moreover, there's a lot more that goes into a game than one freakin' play. Let's assume for the hell of it that the play in question was indeed a rotten call -- it's one play! Now, take into account that Favre had already torched us on the blitz in that game. Minnesota has an offense that is very difficult to stop. Favre played patiently. When the pressure came he got rid of it INSTANTLY. When he had time for the play to develop, he found the open man.

I don't care how many bridges I burn. You all need to untwist your fucking panties, look in the mirror and ask yourselves this: do you want to be like a Vikings fan? Do you want to look for an easy out, a simple blame, a singular reason for all our troubles? "McCarthy needs to go!" because we're 4-3 and two of those losses are against a top-5 NFL team while the other was by a resurgent division-tied-for-the-lead Bengals team?

Being critical is one thing. Making wholesale generalizations like this is the most poorly coached team in the NFL? That's something VIKINGS FANS SAY AFTER THEY LOSE.

I completely agree. MM said something like this in the press conference. We need to start winning our one on ones up front on a 4-5 man rush. We couldn't get to Favre either way.

I think it's more about who we lost to than the state of our current team. A lot of people on here are just reacting way too irrationally after losing to one of the best teams in the league.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress

dfosterf (7-Aug) : out on a field trip, outfitting them with little yellow smocks. Most of the little folk were well behaved, but several were like trying
dfosterf (7-Aug) : Yesterday my wife and I spent the afternoon on the waterfront here in Alexandria, Va. A daycare company took about 15 three/four year olds

Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : I thought that was the Lions OL
Mucky Tundra (6-Aug) : Travis Glover placed on IR; seasons over for him
Zero2Cool (6-Aug) : found bad sql in database, maybe site faster now?
dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Hey i didn't know we could trade picks in fantasy
Mucky Tundra (3-Aug) : Update: Rock has tried a cheese curd, promises it's not his last
