I dont see tausch coming bask

I think Tausher will be back with the Packers, I'm just not sure if it will be as a player or some other role. Maybe as a coach?

Rumors have it Tausher might retire, but also rumors the coaches would like to keep Tausher around one way or another, like they did when asking him to keep traveling with the team everywhere even though he was on the IR.

Which I don't know the Packers rules for the IR but as far as I know others weren't asked to stick around and some teams (like the Eagles) have rules saying injured players aren't allowed to travel with the team.

Also when asked about Tausher, I think it was Thompson he said he needs to talk to Tausher soon but didn't say about what.... which was strange... but normally I'd think that would mean Thompson wants Tausher to take a pay cut and/or do something else for the team...

And when they did the whole coach switch up stuff it was something like

WR coach to Dallas
RB coach to WR coach
Assistant OL coach to RB coach

Was the assistant OL coach ever filled? Tausher? maybe?

CCheez-

Good analysis. I pretty much agree with your analysis of the positions, but differ in draft priorities.

With 6 DL, I wouldn't have them as my top draft priority. My own personal ranking would go OT, CB, WR, OLB, then Dline.

If Jolly is reinstated then perhaps. I think that an upgrade over Harrell and Wynn can be found.

If Jones is signed then WR drops especially if Swain is also signed.

The thing to remember is that OT's are more valuable than all except QB. Then D-line, CB, WR, TE, LB, Safety, and RB's are cheap. Generally. There are exceptions like Matthews and Urlacher.

That really seems true about OTs being valuable. It seems like left tackles, in particular, are almost always high draft picks.

Left Tackle because most QB's are right handed and the left side is their blind side. Which makes me curious about the Eagles.

Hawk-
I have been wondering what the terms of his new contract are. Mos tsources say it is undisclosed. I found this at Rotoworld.

3/3/2011: Signed a five-year, $35 million contract. The deal contains $10 million guaranteed. 2011-2015: Under Contract, 2016: Free Agent

I think we will have 5 starter-quality players on the Dline; Picket, Raji, Green, Neal and Jolly(might be asking a bit much I guess but thats how I feel). So I dont see Dline as a huge need, if these 5 guys are healthy that just means 1-2 rotational players, which we have a good supply of as well in Wilson and Wynn.

I hope Harrel finally gets cut, so we can use that roster spot to give someone else those valuable reps.
