lol yeah that's been proven already. I don't think he has any real sources. I do know he's clever and creative and good at stirring up rumors. I hate his rumors sometimes because they can make so much sense that you start thinking yourself, wtf why isn't this happening?

That's exactly what I said. and nerdman that comment about Bush made me lol. So +1 for both of you.

Could you imagine the Packers with a great RB like Mcfadden or Jackson. Once we get an o-line that would be incredible to have someone like that AND Rodgers. It's too much to ask of Thompson.

I don't see the point in getting a RB unless the line issues get worked out (see Grant's improved performance with Lang in the lineup).

Were they to work out some sort of trade (I've pretty much given up hope for this), it would need to be for help on that line - that, more than RB, more than anything on defense, is where the Packers need real help.

Joe Thomas for Kampman...We do play the Browns this weekend

Would make for good theater I guess if it were to come true

+1.

The only thing I can think of is that Wynn has ran out of time here in GB or his hurt worse than advertised.

Unless you get a franchise back that can make his yards at times, this is pointing the band aid in the wrong direction.

I have faith in Lang.. I am skeptical at this point that Clifton can be effective without being shut down for a couple of weeks.

We are in make or break territory on the playoff picture over the next month or so..

We need to have a fall back in case Lang stumbles or goes down.. I would rather have Clifton heal for a couple of weeks and then come back.

It makes sense to add more depth along the line and maybe pitch a Breno or Smith out and see if they can make it back to the PS.

The guy I want is DE Quentin Groves from the Jags, he has all the tools to play LOLB in this scheme and word out of JAX is that the asking price is a measley 4th or 5th Round Pick. I really liked him at Auburn and many teams were looking at him as a rush LB in the 3-4, would be a nice pickup to improve our depth a little bit and he could start next year if/when Kampman is traded.

I don't know what the man love for McFadden is all about.

I'd rather have Reggie Bush and give Rodgers and our screen game a really, really dangerous weapon. I don't even know why the Saints would want to get rid of him. With Mike Bell, Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush on the roster, I'd try to get some good value for either one of the bruisers.

Chiefs and Raiders apparently are holding whole sale trade requests.
Raiders - Nnamdi - no trade
Chiefs - Cassel - no trade

Everyone else, available for the right price.

I wouldn't mind trying for McFadden.

The Raiders have Khalif Barnes on their roster as a back-up. Not the greatest pass blocker and most likely nothing more than a stop-gap solution, but a solid player nontheless. Especially if Campen could help him with this movement a bit. Heh.

I really think that we should be in some kind of desperation mode here. Maybe picking up a back-up to slide into the starting spot if Lang doesn't work out.

Thinking Barnes or Ugoh here.

What is all this hoopla over getting a RB about?
1. The Packers need a half decent offensive line for any premiere RB to run through.
2. I like Steven Jackson a lot...but age and injury become a factor.
3. Where is all the love for McFadden coming from? He would fail HIGHLY with the ZBS....dude gets touched and falls down. People complain when Ryan Grant does it so why bring in a different name to do the same thing.

If any of these trades go through I would like to see it happen in the defensive backfield or on the offensive line. I think every member here gets a wet dream thinking about Joe Thomas as our left tackle....not going to happen, but damn if it did.

Kampman for Peppers would be a horrible trade in that I think that have the same ability. Difference between the two, Kampman has heart and works through the impossible. Peppers gives up.

Merriman trade. Ehhh, as of right now I would call this dude another Nick Barnett on defense. Minor production, major celebrations. I was certainly hoping to see Nick Barnetts name on that rumor list though.

How well would Chris Long work out in our 3-4 scheme? Okay, he played OLB at University of Virginia but can he bring that experience to the NFL after not playing there for 2 whole years? I mean its the same question people raise at Aaron Kampman...can he play OLB?

Again, the only trades I would be extremely interested in is on the offensive line. I don't see any trades happening. Isn't the exact deadline at 3pm or something?
