Go ahead and say I'm over reacting. Go ahead and say we have only played 4 games. Go ahead and blame injuries, scheme changes, and a tough (???) schedule.

But let me just get this out there.

I support our current coach. I think he CAN turn this thing around.

I support our current GM. He's built a competitive team, which is more than you can say for about 1/2 the teams in the NFL.

But, as a fan, I am always looking for improvement. From the sloppy o-line play, to the suspect depth at safety, to the underwhelming RB performance.

As far as the front office goes, I really feel like, if we miss out on the playoffs or if A-Rod goes down (he's on pace to be sacked 80 times)... it's time for a change.

The first person I would call would be this man.

As much as I hate the term, Tony Dungy represent "Packer People". He's a leader, a motivator, and a leader in the community. I really don't care for his religious ambitions, but the man can flat out coach.

He changed the culture in Tampa and in Indianapolis. Serving in Bill Parcells type role, he would likely bring in a lot of his guys: examples of Dungy guys: Tomlin, Frazier, Marinelli, Lovie Smith, Herm Edwards, Marinelli, Caldwell, Mudd, etc. Quiet guys that get the job done.

He built one of the best defenses in history in Tampa. He built one of the best offenses in history with the Colts. I know people on here like Cowher, Holmgren, Jeff Fisher when he gets fired, Shanahan, etc... but if I had my choice, I'd take Tony in a heart beat.

Sorry for the rant, just curious whuy his name hasn't popped up yet.

I would love to see Tony as the HC in Green Bay but i don't see Ted Thompson bringing in any big name coach because once again it would take away from his fame.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

i wanna no why Ted Thompson is a banned subject. he is the gm of a .500 team. he is well into his tenure as gm. these are his players and coaches. he is the man who is reposible for this team. so why is his term as gm in gb a banned subject to discuss on a PACKER FORUM??

the thing i hate about MM is he seem unable to change a gameplan during a game.

if the Packers are getting beat on defense, or the offens is struggling, it just seems as though MM can not resolve these issues during the game.

all these penalties on offense boil down to an undisciplined team. and that falls on the HC.

i'm so confused - since when has ted thompson ever cared about his fame? all he does is try to stay OUT of the limelight. but go ahead, call me a tedophile & get it over with.

back to the subject...i'd love to have dungy here. he makes a horrible commentator but an AWESOME coach!!

Oh, wow I never believed to see the day I 100% agree with you.

If someone says "fire MM" don't say, "you're overreacting, we're just 2-2". I don't care what the record is with a coach with his conservative playcalling and inability to adjust. He needs to go IMO.

Tony Dungy is retired, which is why he left the Colts. We can't get him.

You mean the guy you have to drag out of the closet to say five words?

How many people get named GM of the year and you don't hear squat out of them? I don't know that there is a GM out there with a more self imposed media dodging mentality than this guy.

I was actually referring to replacing Ted Thompson as well. Putting Tony Dungy in CEO role and allowing him to choose whether to retain Ted Thompson and company.

This pleases you. Correct?

I never got the whole Ted Thompson wants all the attention crap people throw out. I really dont think Ted Thompson cares what people think of him.

That doesn't mean Ted Thompson doesn't have an ego. Because he's so reserved, its tough to tell whether he is an ego mainiac or whether he is just stubborn and set in his ways.

I actually wish Ted Thompson would listen to the media a little more. He's made some good moves while he been here, but he's also left a lot of "rumored" deals on the table.
