Go ahead and say I'm over reacting. Go ahead and say we have only played 4 games. Go ahead and blame injuries, scheme changes, and a tough (???) schedule.
But let me just get this out there.
I support our current coach. I think he CAN turn this thing around.
I support our current GM. He's built a competitive team, which is more than you can say for about 1/2 the teams in the NFL.
But, as a fan, I am always looking for improvement. From the sloppy o-line play, to the suspect depth at safety, to the underwhelming RB performance.
As far as the front office goes, I really feel like, if we miss out on the playoffs or if A-Rod goes down (he's on pace to be sacked 80 times)... it's time for a change.
The first person I would call would be this man.
As much as I hate the term, Tony Dungy represent "Packer People". He's a leader, a motivator, and a leader in the community. I really don't care for his religious ambitions, but the man can flat out coach.
He changed the culture in Tampa and in Indianapolis. Serving in Bill Parcells type role, he would likely bring in a lot of his guys: examples of Dungy guys: Tomlin, Frazier, Marinelli, Lovie Smith, Herm Edwards, Marinelli, Caldwell, Mudd, etc. Quiet guys that get the job done.
He built one of the best defenses in history in Tampa. He built one of the best offenses in history with the Colts. I know people on here like Cowher, Holmgren, Jeff Fisher when he gets fired, Shanahan, etc... but if I had my choice, I'd take Tony in a heart beat.
Sorry for the rant, just curious whuy his name hasn't popped up yet.
