Alright, I was trying to think back and looked at some stats and the Cleveland Browns game kind of skewed my post but I am trying real hard to think back and swear that the Browns held Peterson down pretty well the first half of football. Correct?
@ Cleveland-
25 attempts for 180 yards
AVG 7.2 yards,
3 TDS.
So, I am pretty sure he had a bad 1st half against them. he had a 64 yard (sick ass) run in the second half and that really tacks onto his stats. He made the players look foolish.
@ Detroit-
15 attempts 92 yards
AVG 6.1 yards
1 TD
I don't know if Detroit's running defense can be marked as AMAZING but c'mon....if Detroit can hold him to under 100 yards so can we...period.
vs San Fran-
19 attempts for 85 yards
AVG 4.5 yards
0 TDSZero touchdowns folks. The man is not as untouchable as many make him out to be. HE CAN BE STOPPED and if our defense wants to, they have done it before....THEY CAN STOP HIM.
Our offense needs to come out strong. We stop Adrian Peterson in the 1st half and put up points (not 3...not 6...not 9) but like 2 or 3 touchdowns and you can mark this game over.
The one reason the Vikings came back from halftime was because all the scores were close. The Vikings did not have to abandon the run game come the 2nd half. Brady Quinn threw for 205 yards that game...I believe Aaron Rodgers can if Quinn can.
I know I make it sound easier than what it is but I think the Packers are going to make it happen.
EDIT*
To add-on to my post. Halftime leads of each game.
Cleveland - 3 point lead
Detroit - 3 point lead
San Fran - 1 point lead
You don't have to abandon the run with those minor leads.
