No excuses for this loss. We pretty much got beat in almost every facet of the game yesterday. That being said, I'm not going to throw in the towel after one bad performance.

I think how we come out and play against the Rams will give us a good indication of where this team really is at. They know as much as anyone they need to come out and have a good performance as the Rams are still a pretty bad team.

I'm hoping after these two games though that Thompson is strongly considering picking up the phone and getting Tauscher back in here. He might not be ready to go right off the bat, but it wouldn't hurt to have him finish his rehab with the team in hopes we could possibly get him back after the bye week. Guys like Dietrich-Smith are probably going to be inactive most game days anyways, so cut one of these inactive reserves and get Tauscher in here and ready to play. He certainly can't hurt imo.

Well David.....at least you got to see the CHEESEY!
(Kind of expensive just to see ME, hey???) LOL!

I agree......theres plenty of reason to be mad. You showed up, and the team didn't. They looked 100% unprepared.

But we've got a long day tomorrow. It will be hard to swallow, to watch the way this thing unfolded today, and hopefully we come back in, work tomorrow, watch film, and come in Wednesday ready to go. Because no team is going to lay down for us just because we have a new defense and we felt good about what we did in preseason and the first game. We have to be ready.

I think that's the problem. I think they believe that since they have a new defense, they all bought into it, and they did so well in the pre-season that everything is going to come easy. I wonder if they forgot that it took hard work and busting their ass off while playing smart to get that impression in the first place.

This is what I've preached for a while. Have something that you can nail down as YOURS and do it better than anyone. Instead of this crap where we try to do forty different things and drop the ball on them.

When we had Ahman here and he had his great seasons. We had SIX runs, SIX! Everyone knew what they were, where it was going and we still punished people for it.

I miss the days of dominance.

Totally - I don't think he was planning on having to carry the whole team on his back. Take away Woodson and this team is a woeful-looking 0-2 club.

Everybody that is saying, well...all we gotta do is fix our o-line and....

I have a simple question. How in the hell are we going to fix it?

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

Fix?

Hide? Every play needs to have a safety vale for Rodgers, and if there's one already, that player needs to get open in the flat. They can't cover everyone and blitz everyone, that's just not possible. We have 6 blocking 4 and getting dominated. So instead of 6, use 5 and keep that extra one in the flat for a short pass.

After that happens enough, the rush will weaken which will open up other passes.

It's a chess match and we're getting out coached offensively.

after the 2nd sack we should of had one extra dude on that guy. I rewatched the 5 sacks and didnt see a fullback or RB there was just out tackle getting outplayed each and everytime (played em like a basketball player does with fakes).

I still dont see why we dont do more sweeps/screens or short passes that get the ball out early and leaves rodgers on his feet

Losing is never acceptable. Losing at home is pathetic. But, I would prefer they got the stinkers out of the way early, stay in contention and be playing their best football at the end of the season. I'll wait another couple of games before getting panicky.

The reason you see little help on the left side is because they shifted most of the support to the right side.. once Colledge got into the game.. we had no strong edge... and apparently they thought Barbre need the chips more than Colledge.. probably trying to salvage confidence in the young'in.

As far as short RB flares.. that would help, but it won't take a ton to take that away either.. we don't have an electric back that makes people miss on his own on the roster.. we decided not to carry a "scat" back type.

Personally, I think MM was erroneous in not trying to establish the run more.. on the touchdown carry by Grant, Barbre absolutely buried his man inside (solo even).. maybe just maybe MM needs to adjust his gameplan a little more and see if we can establish something on the ground and not just through the air.. 😉

Zero2Cool (18h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (22h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (22h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (23h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (23h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (23h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (23h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (23h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (23h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (23h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (23h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (23h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (23h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (23h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
