knowing the scheme does not beat executing the scheme.

The sixties Packers ran sweeps. They knew it. The defense knew it. THe crowd knew it. Hell, even the Russians knew it!

But nobody could stop it.

Be good at what you do. Do it. then do it agian.

AMEN, trippster! focus & execute - that's what these guys get paid to do! and whoever said woodson looked pissed - i agree! he was all OVER the place! i think he felt like it was all on his shoulders. i was hoping he'd fire up the rest but it didn't happen.

oh & can anyone remember the last time we could say "boy, our oline is great & our running game is awesome"??? i can't for the life of me remember thinking that & i've been a fan for 35 freakin years!!!

you guys also forget cinci plays against 3-4 teams all the time. This is our first year implementing it and it showed vs them.

They had some nice run blockage ie was even mentioned they moved the guard and tackle on a play which messed up their D.

To be honest I'm glad the packers had this wakeup call. Ill take a loss to cinci over a lose to min.

Heard the Bengals also used a 3rd tackle on the plays that Benson got those 12 yard runs on?

Yeah. They where running with an extra tackle to the left quite a few times. I was hoping that we'd throw some blitzes their way whenever they would get in that formation, but Dom prefers to create confusion and bring a maximum of 5 players, rather than bring 7 straigth forward on a run blitz.

We have 3 FBs on the roster. Perhaps we need to put this play in the book and see what happens.

Week 1 1995. GB loses to St. Louis. A team that went 4-12 the previous year. We ended up 11-5 losing in the NFC Championship game.

The season is young, still expecting good things to happen.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Don Banks, SI.com Snap judgements-Packers exposed

My Patriots-Packers Super Bowl pick took a beating Sunday, eh? And speaking of beatings, Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom sacked Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers an astounding five times at Lambeau Field, giving him an NFL-leading seven sacks after just two weeks. All told, the Bengals dropped Rodgers six times in their 31-24 upset of Green Bay, giving the Packers 10 sacks allowed on the season.
It's early, but Green Bay's Achilles heel has quickly emerged: It can't protect Rodgers. The Packers offensive line has been a sieve against the Bears and Bengals, and Rodgers is never going to last physically at this rate. I would expect Green Bay to be in full panic mode this week in regards to the offensive line, with GM Ted Thompson maybe picking up the phone and getting ex-Packers offensive tackle Mark Tauscher back onto his roster. Especially since left tackle Chad Clifton left Sunday with a second-half ankle injury.
