I went through the cuts, trades and injury placements to update the roster because I was curious. Here's how it's panned out:

Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers
Matt Flynn

Running Back
Ryan Grant
Brandon Jackson
DeShawn Wynn

Fullback
John Kuhn
Korey Hall
Quinn Johnson

Wide Receiver
Greg Jennings
Donald Driver
Jordy Nelson
James Jones
Brett Swain

Tight End
Donald Lee
Jermichael Finley
Spencer Havner (Also at linebacker)

Tackle
Chad Clifton
Allen Barbre
Breno Giacomini

Guard
Josh Sitton
Daryn Colledge
TJ Lang
Evan Dietrich-Smith

Center
Jason Spitz
Scott Wells
Brett Goode (Long Snapper)

Defensive End
Johnny Jolly
Cullen Jenkins
Michael Montgomery
Jarius Wynn

Nose Tackle
Ryan Pickett
BJ Raji

Outside Linebacker
Aaron Kampman
Brady Poppinga
Jeremy Thompson
Clay Matthews
Brad Jones

Inside Linebacker
Nick Barnett
AJ Hawk
Desmond Bishop
Brandon Chillar

Cornerback
Charles Woodson
Al Harris
Tramon Williams
Will Blackmon
Brandon Underwood
Derrick Martin

Safety
Atary Bigby
Nick Collins
Aaron Rouse
Jarret Bush

Punter
Jeremy Kapinos

Kicker
Mason Crosby

Offensive Players: 24
Defensive Players: 25
ST Players: 3 (Brett Goode counts as a ST and not a center)
Other: 1 (Spencer Havner plays both defense and offense)

I find it interesting they kept 3 fullbacks, it seems special teams played a big role in our cuts.

I am glad we kept all 3 FBs ... is swain really that much better then martin? ... hope he was better in practice then in the preseason games cuz martin always did farily well.

Im so glad we kept rouse over smith - not like smith had 2 interceptions in preseason and a sack. Rouse had so much more then smith 'sarcasm off'

I'm ok with those backs ... since we kept 3 FBs which I all really like.

My only disappointment is the smith cut; rest are fine err sort of.

I mentioned in the chat the other night that Mike McCarthy had stated prior to the game that players who spent a lot of the time on the field during the fourth preseason game were the ones whose jobs were on the line. Martin played virtually the whole game. It's not much of a surprise he was cut.

On the other hand, Sutton hardly played at all and he got cut too, so apparently his fate was sealed before the game. Too bad. I really can't see him clearing waivers.

I pretty much had my mind made up about Swain, but he has developed beyond my expectations and I have to say I like the move to go with him over Martin. He has surprised me with his route running and toughness. Plus he isn't such a skinny dude any more. He looks more like an NFL player now.

The only plays I can remember of swain were ones he reminded me of jordy nelson last year with worse hands.

Flipside thought, maybe they know what they have in Sutton and didn't want to show him off to much because they wanted to sneak him onto the practice squad in case Wynn gets hurt or Jacksons chin is worse than expected.

I think cutting Anthony Smith was a bad move for the Packers. Jaret Bush was kept and a talented Smith was cut. Beats me man.

Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : McCarthy let go or not extended??
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Chicago Bears have asked the Dallas Cowboys permission to interview Mike McCarthy for head coaching vacancy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : The winners page that is
