So sick of hearing about the Cowboys, Favre, Plaxico, Pacman, Ocho Cinco, TO, etc etc etc... Punters, don't kick at their jumbotron in warmups. Jerry Jones, stop talking...

i wonder how many punts it'll take to wreck the screens?
What happens if it breaks and falls on the field as a result of a punt? (long shot i know)

plan and simple the guy is a idiot who is able to do everything he wants to do, i just hope one day when he comes down to the field during the game someone steamrolls right over him so he never comes down where he doesnt belong in the 1st place !!

As it relates to this issue.. How is Jones able to do everything he wants to?

He applied his stadium plans to the league and got it's approval. He put his big screen 5 feet above the regulations for any structure above said field. How is Jones wrong?

Look, I understand people not liking him. Trust me. I also know that when the Colts built their stadium, they actually brought their punter in to see if he could hit a steel beam that was at the projected height of their big screen. Since he hit that beam 50% of the time, they decided to put their screens in opposite corners of the stadium. Jones could have done that, and I understand this. My point is.. Jones did EVERYTHING the league asked for. Therefore, that's why the rule change. The NFL knows it was their bad. They don't want to fork over the money to move it.

Again, I understand peoples hatred for the Cowgirls. But to put the blame on them versus who's fault it REALLY is... Is ignorant.

Normally I try to stay hands off when it comes to tenor of conversations, but I feel compelled to state that rabid foaming at the mouth like this does nothing to add to the conversation. Besides the fact it's not supported with any kinds of facts or logic, it's patently wrong. Jerry Jones complied with all regulations; it's not like the NFL granted him some sort of special exemption. If the regulations are faulty, it's the NFL's responsibility to update them. I don't see why this is such an emotional issue for some people.

Jerry Jones complied with all regulations. If the NFL had a problem with it, they should have intervened before the stadium was constructed. This is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. If a dumbass punter can't kick around a television display, I don't think he deserves to be collecting his millions.

Disagree... to a point.. this is a faulty design in the first place.. whom in their non egotistical mind would construct a billion dollar stadium with an intrusion into the playing area?

Would one not logically conduct a study on the clearance needed from playing surface upwards to ensure that it would not intrude upon the game?

Logic tells you, yes, that would be the case. It will impede the games at times... is it a huge deal no.. but it still is an obstruction that shouldn't be.

Jerry's response to the whole matter is classic Jerry "F%&king" Jones... they say everything in Texas is bigger.. it might not hold truth across the boards.. but Jerry's ego fits the mantra.

Genuine pompous asshole.

Regardless, responsibility for this rests squarely on the NFL. Their regulation was and remains 85 feet. Jones' plan called for 90 feet of clearance. The NFL should have done some computer modeling to determine if that would be sufficient clearance for today's punter, and if it weren't, changed the regulation and/or demanded that Jones alter his plans. We can't be faulting Jones retroactively for a plan to which no one objected before it was implemented.

Your defense has been on the field way too long. You finally get your offense on the field again. The offense goes 3 and out. The defense is too tired to get back into the game... that scoreboard might come in mighty handy to keep them on that bench for a little longer. Lol.
