I am just wondering of who you think should be our starting backfield on the D? Linebacker we already got that cleared up pretty good. I am not so sure about Aaron Kampman like his new role. I would like to see Rouse and Williams more in the lineup. Let me have your feedback.

I have always like Rouse's potential at both safety spots. I like his height and size against TEs at SS, and he has also shown some ability at FS.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Please refrain from typing in ALL CAPS in the future. It's considered equivalent to shouting and therefore rude. Thanks.

I think it's pretty clear who all the starters will be UNLESS

~Raji makes a push for starter at DE
~Matthews or Thompson make a push at OLB

and of course the other side of the ball it's not so clear at FB and TE. But TE it probably doesn't matter which one starts because they'll both get a lot of snaps.

As far as S it's Collins and Bigby all the way just because do body else has stepped up. I mean sure Smith has some nice plays against back-up but he has also even some really nice plays up to the back-up too.

As far as Rouse the guy shouldn't be getting time on defense unless injuries. Physical his hips are tighter than any of the LBers ( including the DEs that moved to LBers) other than that he has all the physical tools. But he still plays stupid....

He always tries to give big hits by hitting the other guys shoulders or head including the RBs that out weight him by 40 pounds (Brandon Jacobs). You just can't do that against power runners... also he takes horrible angles and always goes for the possible pick even it means giving up a touch down. The guys just plays stupid..... and you can't do that in the NFL... unless your ultra talented or something......

I think Rouse still makes it as a backup to Collins if for no other reason none of the other safeties on the roster have really stepped up. I think you've got your 2 SS's in Bigby and Smith. Jarrett Bush is a versatile guy, but he should stick to CB and ST gunner and only fill in at Safety in a pinch since there is a pretty good chance we'll keep 10 DBs anyways. (6 CBs, 4 S's)

At this point it has to be Collins and Bigby. Nobody has shown anything to win a starting spot (including Bigby).
