You would think it has to be Bigby alongside Collins - the 3-4 base is predicated on stopping the run first and it's reasonable to think that plays to Bigby's strengths.
I keep hearing reports that Bigby hasn't done anything to solidify the starter spot, but looking at the games he has made no glaring mistakes. That's good - despite his lack of big game changing plays.
Smith has come on strong, but usually against 2nd stringers. You'd kinda expect that for someone who has played in a similar system for his career and has good skills - which Smith does possess.
I can see Smith eventually overtaking Bigby because Smith has a greater skill set - but where as Bigby hasn't had any glaring mistakes, Smith has had a couple.
