You would think it has to be Bigby alongside Collins - the 3-4 base is predicated on stopping the run first and it's reasonable to think that plays to Bigby's strengths.

I keep hearing reports that Bigby hasn't done anything to solidify the starter spot, but looking at the games he has made no glaring mistakes. That's good - despite his lack of big game changing plays.

Smith has come on strong, but usually against 2nd stringers. You'd kinda expect that for someone who has played in a similar system for his career and has good skills - which Smith does possess.

I can see Smith eventually overtaking Bigby because Smith has a greater skill set - but where as Bigby hasn't had any glaring mistakes, Smith has had a couple.

I like collins bigby and smith - whomever else ... their play hasnt impressed me.

Ditto. Those are the guys I like so far this preseason, and in that order. Rouse hasn't had much of an opportunity to step up this year, so I'm not exactly down on him.

I think this puts it well. Basically Collins has looked good not great.... Bigby hasn't made any plays but hasn't given any up. Smith has made plays against back-ups but has also given things up against back-ups.

IMO Bush has shown the next most... which isn't a lot... Rouse and Peprah hav e just looked plain bad this preseason at least in the games....
