Laptop/HDTV connection · PACKERSHOME

I bought a new HDTV today. (Its awesome)

Anyway, I hooked up my laptop to it (HDMI cable) and I cant get it to display as a full screen on my HDTV. Is this possible?

Edit: Nevermind. I don't think my video card supports that resolution.

i have a gateway laptop and i hook it up to my 42 inch plasma but i have Vista installed and when i hook up the cable it asks me if i want the tv to mirror the laptop and i hit yes and it works great, used it to watch transformers 2 yesterday.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

If you or anyone want to buy HDMI cords, go to monoprice.com.

The cords at popular electronic stores are way, way, way overpriced and marked up like no other.

HDMI cords are different than other cords because the signal through them is 100% digital instead of analog. With a digital connection, there is no "better" signal. It's either ON or OFF. Don't be fooled by marketing ploys to buy the so-called better cable.

hell formo just call a local repair shop they will have them laying around and probably get one for like $5 if not free.
