Akamp........if it were me, i'd pick a day and drive up to Green Bay. I'd ask to see TT, and then explain why. In GB the "big wigs" are more apt to take a few minutes to see you. And what have you got to lose?
Thats what i would do.

AKamp, your determination is inspiring. And I wish you the very best. I'm really happy that you decided to go through with this.

Thanks Formo,I was hesitant on the hiring of an agent but since I have a friend who does it, it was a lot easier. I will try my best to continue with updates though if anything significant happens.

which I don't have.
I have been tempted to do that here at Soldier...just go and say hey, give me 10 minutes. Obviously, since it is closer and all.
The thought of even playing in Green Bay is insane. My own father (a die hard Bears fan) said he would become a Packers fan if I ever played for them...haha, talk about some motivation!!!! Bringing the old man to his senses!

Akamp,

Hey man GL with this; if I had to do it all over again I would be doing the same thing as you are.

What about going lighter and leaner and playing LBer? I always thought LB was the most challenging but rewarding position to play.

6'3 could be short for a DE but 6'3 is nice as a LBer especially if you got some speed.

Dulak--The thought has crossed my mind. Only two issues stop that from happening. First, I never played the position and I am already finding it tough to make the pros because I didn't play for a "major" college. Second, weight. I started college at 195 and left at 290...yes, almost a 100 pound gain. I grew alot over four years and I have been trying to cut for 2 months now and only managed 10 pounds. If I were able to cut most of my eating habits out, I would probably make a better transition.

OLB would be pretty awesome...haha. Also, if you know AFL rules/positions, there are 2 linebackers and one is like a glorified lineman. I was going to give that a shot if anything.

Did you call/talk to Big Cat and express your extreme DESIRE for at least a work out?

Thats the 1st step....... he still has to know people that might do him a favor ;)

Dont worry about the email that said major colleges, thats just talk we all know small time schools have players.

As others have said, you will regret not doing this in 10 years not even 20.

I used to say this all the time.

Dream it, think it, believe it, do it..

Blitz---no competition

LT---my lifting and conditioning is completely based off of everything Big Cat has given me. As far as "using" him I basically ask him for information to see if he knows anything. It is hard for me to ask the guy to GET ME a tryout. I know that sounds stupid because if I really really want it, I should just ask right?

you could just say hey...

How would I go about getting invited to a work out?

He might give you information you would have never known about

You bring up a good point LT...I think I can give it a shot. I am actually waiting for his response to my question about this Elite Combine. I wanted to know if he had any good info on it or maybe some dirt.

Zero2Cool (11h) : There doesn't need to be a topic. There's a playoff prediction thread.
packerfanoutwest (11h) : and there no SB contest over in the other Packer forum, either
buckeyepackfan (11h) : #2Officially Retires!

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Chiefs again huh? I guess another Super Bowl I'll be finding something else to do.

Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : happy birthday dhazer

buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
