On a defense that has been haunted by missed tackles, Daniels, according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), has zero. He also leads all 3-4 defensive ends with 24 tackles. In addition, he leads the league’s 3-4 defensive ends with a stop rate of 11.9 percent. In all, he has 19 stops – a stop being an “offensive loss.”

Not bad considering how relatively little he has been on the field.

Really like Daniels, really hope Jones can rid himself of the injuries and play up to his draft position. Praying we somehow find a competent nose tackle if we insist on playing this 3-4 defense without the linebackers necessary to play a 3-4 defense.

We'd be better off switching back to a 4-3, and putting Matthews at MLB. Too many square pegs forced into round holes in our current defense. Let Matthews be the square peg and use his athleticism to compensate.

I'd like Daniels to be a little more consistent. Didn't seem like he was ready early this year..

But he is not a continuous force against the run.

I would rather see Rodgers moved to WR than CM moved to ILB. In my opinion, both moves would be against the players strength.

It's obviously not his best position, but he would undoubtedly be as good or better than what the Packers currently have. Either way, Clay needs to play better and more disciplined regardless of where he is playing. He over-pursues and gets washed out of far too many plays. He goes for the splash plays too often rather than just being consistently solid. It may not look as good for the highlight reels, but it would help the team more.
