You bring up a good point LT...I think I can give it a shot. I am actually waiting for his response to my question about this Elite Combine. I wanted to know if he had any good info on it or maybe some dirt.

This is true. Well, I started out slow. I texted him to see if he had time and his response was "alittle tied up right now ill text or talk 2 u in the morning"
Hes got the whole text thing down and he usually is very busy. I asked him about the Elite Combine because I don't want to jump straight into asking about workouts. Most likely he will want to meet up or talk for awhile because I have asked him before if I had what it takes "for the next level".
His response was yes.

If your to worried about approaching him in person about this, drop a line to him..I have done that in the past to people, sometimes its just easier to drop a line in case your rejected..

Take a DEEP breath and just blurt it out to him!!

Haha, as the great Will Ferrell says in Step Brothers...

Just kidding. Damn, last time I weighed 120 was seriously in 8th grade...I think. My first drivers license (16 years old) I weighed 186.

Alrighty longtimefan (and anyone else who gives a hoot)---a little follow up.

My workouts have been going as planned and I have dropped 16 pounds since my last post in here (June 9th). So from 286 (very bad weight) down to 270 and I am continuing to drop hopefully down to 250. My first attempt at running a 40 was a 4.9 (at 286 pounds) and my speed and cardio is only going upwards. Strength is not an issue and won't become one.

As far as training goes, I am on my own with that but I am doing very well. I lift 4 times a week (monday, tuesday, thursday, friday) and I run 5 days a week (Wednesday I actually do ball drills and run routes).

My friend is getting his license and will be representing me come January when all the pro days begin. He told me to leave all of that to him so I am going to. I trust him as much as he trusts me (I will be his first legit client).

Good luck AKamp74. I always meant to try out for the minors when I was younger but never did. I think about it now and regret not doing it.

Thanks afrolex.

I actually just ran pass routes today (25 within an hour) and my friend who plays quarterback said he was really impressed with my improvement from last week.
I also did some ball drills with my back turned to him 10 yards away. He'd yell ball, throw it, and I'd turn right into it. Throws to the left and right high and low to see the reaction. Typical tryout drill.

Positives for today:
-explosive out of stance and cuts
-cardio was a lot better
-only dropped 1 ball (had to dive for it on a corner route)
