In the chat room, I was openly speculating that with such a high draft pick (#9), Ted Thompson might trade back up into the first round. I was a little surprised that he traded away our entire second and third rounds, but hey, we still came away with two first-day picks, which is the normal allotment for any team. Not to mention we had six second-day picks, one more than the normal allotment. So 8 total picks, including 2 first-rounders -- how can anyone complain?

This draft has proven conclusively what many of us already suspected: The Ted Thompson critics are determined to carp no matter what happens. They carp for the sake of carping. It's growing increasingly wearisome.

+ 1 to the Engineer from me, as well. Perhaps if enough of us continue to explain this, people will understand it.

You ARE welcome.. lol.

And thank you for manning up and apologizing on one accord..

By the way, not all are completely pro-Thompson, most call him on his mistakes and pat him on the back with his correct call.

A- on your grammar. ;)

Additionally, watching the many clips that float around the net on Matthews.. I like the pick more and more.

Since you found his post, perhaps my thread is still hanging around. I wonder why I couldn't find it.

UPDATE: D'oh, I found it . I had forgotten that the keyword "Crabtree" was in the thread sub-title, not the title. I feel dumb now and fully retract my earlier statement, which only supports my assertion: there is no censorship on this site.

Clay Matthews III's father Clay Mathews jr. had a 19 season career in the NFL, 1978 - 1993.

His uncle, Bruce Matthews played for 19 seasons as well, 1983 - 2001 and is considered one of the best offensive linesmen in history, 14 time probowler..

I think gakko is grieving the fact that based on Clay Matthews' genetics, his career expectancy is longer than gakko's remaining life expectancy. 😉

I just watched a short youtube vid on Clay and the dude is like a lion going after some food when he is attacking the quarterback. He just doesn't give up and when he gets the player he does not let go.

Zero2Cool (28-May) : LaFleur on Watson: “Christian is doing outstanding. I would say he’s ahead of schedule.”
Martha Careful (28-May) : Bradshaw is a dumb ass cracker. I am so tired of his "aw shucks" diatribe. He should shrivel up and go away.
