Oh, they did! Didn't you see? They yanked Newman! THEN, just to prove just how crazy they are, put HANSON in. Well, that's the consensus we would have all picked, right? I cannot speak to that strategy due to my inside baseball ignorance, but damn, let's just see if we can piss off our fanbase even more?

And with all due respect, Hanson showed us in week 1 he wasn't ready... Tom looked much better, and he looked bad, but still much better than Hanson.
I think Hanson has been practicing at RG all offseason and training camp, and they trust him mentally, which is why I think they have him as the #2 RG...
Where, Tom looks like he's still learning the system... and he bounced around from LT, RT and to LG... he should of been at RT and RG the entire time.
So if they're not sure they can mentally trust Tom or TE Lewis at RG yet, I understand... but can we trust Newman at this point? Hanson will at least get the mental part right, even if not the pass blocking part.
But unless their is a huge concern that we don't know about (which their could be)... I think it's time they put Bakhtiari and Nijman in as starters at the same time... one of them has to move to RT. And if their is an injury concern with Bakhtiari, have Tom practice right behind him and rotate Tom in.
1st string: Bakhtiari, Runyan, Myers, Jenkins, Nijman
3 game day backups... Tom back ups the left side. Hanson back up Center, Newman back up RT and Hanson/Newman split RG.
