Or you know, trafe a 1st round pick, DT Lowry and maybe a few other odds and ends and get the Panthers starting RT, RG, 2nd DT and backup veteran SS and win the Super Bowl.

It's not as good as solving world hunger, but I might be pretty happy with it... (assuming winning the Super Bowl part).

I think Jenkins wanted to stay at RT (which usually get paid better than OGs) and he's in a contract year... also it's obvious everyone wants to stay at the big money/more important positions if they can, or where they have played.

That being said... with Jenkins and Runyan playing OG, there is no where for our 3rd round pick OG Rhyan to go... which is why I questioned selecting a guy with an OG build to start with so high in the draft.

Though still, Tom was one of my favorite long term OL prospects and we still got him.

Predraft I compared Tom to Bakhtiari in muliple ways... they look like Centers, but have elite pass blocking potential and if they're physical to make it, should be able to play LT.

So I liked last week's lineup and here is my 8 man GameDay depth chat

LT: Bakhtiari / Tom / Jenkins
LG: Jenkins / Tom / Runayn
OC: Myers / Tom / Jenkins
RG: Runyan / Newman / Tom
RT Nijman / Newman / Walker

If you don't understand the issues with moving a LG coming off ACL to RT, then I can't really answer this in anyway that will make sense to you. You're deliberately skipping my entire point and focusing on one aspect to make an argument. I have explained numerous times the challenges being great from G <-> T vs L <-> R.

Of course, I don't hear/read everything, but Jenkins wanting to stay at RT for financial purposes is definitely new to me. And if it's true, cut his ass. You play high quality at LG and then say you want to keep playing shitty at RT in hopes of money.

This is my #1 OL preference. #2 lineup is what we had vs Commanders. #3 is whatever crap I posted earlier on a whim.

I think the Nijman experiment is over. He got destroyed when it mattered most.

Tom is not ready for prime time, although I don't know who else is.

Even with Jenkins healthy, we are at least one man short. The cupboard would seem to be relatively bare there, as well as WR.

I'm not sure we should give up on him after two games against two pretty good DL's. Getting whacked around by Commanders and Bills DL isn't really anything to be ashamed of. I think you gotta give him four games at least.
