People people people. No personal attacks if you please. I can and will delete posts and put those onto timeout who don't play nice.

I was surprised to see him taken out at the half. I understand the rationale as regards the 1st team line coming out and wanting to protect him. For me, the cost benefit analysis leans hard towards playing him. He needs the reps, and so do his evaluators.
Play him !

You know, if you can't handle the truth, that not all division rivals are absolutely horrible, you could actually block people that upset you by telling the truth instead of getting all hormonal.

To the mod: I'm sorry that I upset him to the point he's making violent threats. I was just trying to get him to stop trolling, when he clearly agreed with what I said, just not how I said it.

It's very unusual to see a QB be elite in one method (no pressure when compared to other QBs with no pressure), and totally average in another (when pressured when compared to other QBs with pressure).

As for Love, unless he starts looking like a starter, he has no trade value and we'll be keeping him as long as long as we have an active contract with him.

But in hindsight, it would of been nice to have another position player from that draft, though some of those picked shorter after Love clearly busted and already on different teams, or maybe even out of the league (Vikings and Titans picks)

I don't think that draft class was all that great. I know there was a few good ones like Justin Jefferson and Johnathon Taylor.

Granted, they drafted up thinking they could get one of the WR's they targeted, I would rather have stayed pat and taken best player available per their scouting. But hell, I don't know what I'd have wanted with that 4th round pick (or whatever it was, lol). I just didn't hear enough hype about players to really make me think players were worth moving up a handful of spots for.

I'll have a better feeling about Jordan Love after the next two pre-season games. As I've said before, I need to see improvement. I couldn't care less about mistakes, but my thing is, are they repeated mistakes or is he learning and progressing? That is what I wanna see.

It's a shame Jordan Love is so hated by QB1, huh? (being facetious)

I think Tony Dungy, whom had a similar offensive system with Peyton Manning and the Colts, nailed it, when he said it wasn't coaching fault as much as the scouting fault of not getting deeper group of WRs which is needed for that scheme.

Well, Rodgers has improved in that he refused to throw a check down in that system, to the point Seahawks didn't even to look like they were going to attempt to cover a RB unless that RB first got 5-7 yards down the field.

But generally speaking, I think it's more getting a better scheme and having the right personnel for the scheme you are running.

Also, I've been a huge fan of the wide zone scheme and Kyle Shanahan for a long time now, and remember saying if we get rid of Mike McCarthy we should get Kyle Shanahan, I believe that was when Shannon was with the Browns.

But this scheme seems to put more lateral threats on the defense, which makes it harder for the DL to get a vertical jump... and with the right play calling, makes the RB a bigger priority to take pressure off the QB, and let's the OL run block more (which generally speaking, they enjoy hitting the DL in run blocking more than getting hit in pass blocking), and helps the OL by having a better run to pass ratio, making it harder for the defense to guess what is coming.

I look back at this thread and could go back even farther but I remember saying we should trade Rodgers and get the draft capital for it and people slamming me for it. I said let Love run the offense and see what happens and people kept saying oh we will be one of the worse teams in the league and I said we would be good enough to win the division and get in the playoffs and if we lose the first game, so be it we do that with Rodgers. But we would have had a shit ton of picks and tons of cap space. And like this thread people saying try and get what we can for him blah blah blah and I said why dump a qb on his rookie contract.

Well look at things now how the praise is coming out from the coach and Rodgers saying how much Love has improved and thinks he will make a great starting qb (I say next year because Rodgers will retire this year, unless Brady does than Rodgers comes back for one more as he can't be 2nd fiddle for the HOF). I just find it interesting how fans views change so quick 😛
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
