PFF ranks them as the third-best tackling team in the NFL through three weeks. The Packers do not have a player in the top 45 in missed tackles, according to PFF. The player who might be tasked with covering Harris in the passing game the most, inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, has 11 stops this season, tied for sixth in the league. PFF defines a “stop” as “a play where a defender makes a tackle, and the location of the tackle means the play is a successful one for the defense.”



This was something I think several of us have noticed throughout this young season. That said, I credited the lack of missed tackles being more so due to players being so far fucking out of position!

Poor tackling technics is annoying because they are professionals and know better.

What I've heard and read is this isn't true. And it starts with youth football. A few (maybe only two) defensive coaches said if they aren't taught how to tackle at a young age, they won't ever be a good tackler. And these guys were saying that basically if they don't have good tackling technique in college, they won't get it in the professional realm either. But they can be good at in college and lose it in the pros.

What I saw yesterday is guysxswarming to the ball. Maybe the first guy didn't get the guy down, but they held the guy up until teammates arrived.

That RB moved the pile a few times (so did Dillon) but I also liked the stops. Guys were tackled before the first down marker. Love to see that. That's a Joe Barry thing.
