Clay is not coming back. The players are just messing with those who are gullible.
The best ILB in the past decade was AJ Hawk. He still leads the team in career tackles.

Also I haven't looked at the numbers in a while, but I believe the site that was tracking tackles is incorrect, as they double counted some tackles.

Basically there are three tackles stats, solo tackles, assisted tackles and combined.

And the website that was tracking tackles accidentally combined combined and one of the others.... so either solo or assisted tackles were incorrectly counted twice to put Hawk in the career tackle lead.

At least according to NFL.com, Hawk had less tackles than what the career tackle item that said Hawk got in his career.

Also, Hawk got a ton of tackles after giving up five yards... so Hawk made a lot of negative plays from becoming even worse, but he wasn't a play maker.

Yes, I know. Thank you.

I am not making any claims as to the quality of the tackle, only that the Packers organization has deemed him to be their leader in total tackles. Any disputes should be taken up with them.
Also, that old line of "Hawk got a ton of tackles after giving up five yards" just doesn't sit well with me. Perhaps he did. Nevertheless he still got the tackle. If he didn't get it where would the ball carrier ended up? Instead of a 5 yard gain perhaps it would have been 10, 15 or 30 yards down field. Could he have gotten some of runners after a 2 yard game? Probably. Did he run sideline to sideline to make the play. Sometimes.
It was Green Bay's misfortune to have the #5 pick in 2006. Yes it would have been nice to take Vernon Davis. They didn't. They wanted a LBer instead. They thought they had the TE situation covered with Bubba Franks and Donald Lee.

I agree the Packers should be informed and looked into it, but I don't exactly have contact with them.

Hawk has about 700 solo tackles. And over 50 tackles for a loss. He's legit. Quit being dorks.

Clay sucked the last couple of years he was here. RARELY set an edge and gave up leverage constantly in order to get a sack and act like an idiot thereafter.

Take a pass please.

“Feet of Clay” won’t be back.
He sucked the last few years he was here. And didn’t do much after that.
He wouldn’t be worth wasting a roster spot on.
I think it’s just players making up stuff for fun, to see which “media” brains would try to make a story out of it.

Aaron Rodgers confirmed what I have said. (just hurt myself patting my back, okay back now).

Rodgers said he was with the Cobbs and Bakhtiari last week and they got to talking and brought up Clay. They did the FaceTime thing with him and decided to have some fun on Social Media.

Apparently Clay is a farmer now and probably couldn't come back if he wanted.

Clay is a FARMER?!?!
I can see him.....wetting his hair, throwing his head back, and telling the cows how he’s gonna tackle and brand them.
(And the cows laughing at him)😉

I was just talking about this to a friend at lunch. When I saw the Randall Cobb post, I said this is gonna be funny. And sure enough, a little while later Aaron Rodgers chimed in. The sad thing is Rodgers has said he likes messing with the media. Other players have joined in on it. Rodgers has said mocked how media sees someone "Like" something on Tweeter and suddenly articles spring up left and right. This is the same thing.

dfosterf (4h) : So eeri
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (9h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (9h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (9h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (12h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Chiefs again huh? I guess another Super Bowl I'll be finding something else to do.
Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : Chiefs Eagles...again...sigh
dfosterf (27-Jan) : Happy Birthday Dave!
Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : happy birthday dhazer
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Exactly buck...Washington came up with the ball. It is just a shitty coincidence one week later
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : I think this games over
beast (26-Jan) : Eagles sure get a lot of fumbles on kickoffs
Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : This game looks too big for Washington
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,
beast (26-Jan) : Someone pointed out, with Raiders hiring Carroll, the division games between Carroll and Jim Harbaugh are back on (who can whine more games)
beast (26-Jan) : I'm confused, Pete Carroll and Brian Schottenheimer? When Todd Monken, Joe Brady, Kellen Moore, Kliff Kingsbury and Zac Robinson are availab
Zero2Cool (25-Jan) : Any reason I'm catching a shot here about my intelligence?
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me
Martha Careful (25-Jan) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (24-Jan) : Rude!
beast (24-Jan) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
